346: Graz Schlossberg And Cats

~Going Out~

“Mummy and Daddy have gone out. Let’s have a party and invite Pom Fritz on social media”.
“Sorry guys, can’t come as I ate Twitter !”

Today, we went up that !  The Schlossberg in Graz, Austria.  Want to come along ?

Natascha and I took a tram ride through the city.  Exited the tram near the tunnel which contained the lift to the top of the hill.  Natascha bought 2 lift tickets and after a long walk in the tunnel she scanned the ticket and walked through the electronic gate.  The ticket didn’t work for me !  Oh boy, he gave Natascha ONE ticket instead of two.  So off I went on a round trip, returning with ticket clutched tightly in my hand.  A few seconds later we got out of the lift at the top.  Great !  A cafe !  Coffee !!!  Want one ?

Lovely views
Zoom in there Natascha !
We live there !
No !  THERE !!!
Natascha’s Dad lives there.  No !  THERE !

~Fooling About~

Ralph was WELL brought up

~Time To Relax~

~  Show Me the Way To Go Home  ~

Don’t panic Ralph !
“Down THERE ??”

We didn’t die !

We left the station by the river Mur ….
…….. crossed the street to the tram stop …
…. waited 5 minutes …
…. and were soon on our way home.  “Hey ! That’s our tram !”

It would be nice to get home to our welcoming, purring, leg rubbing cats.

“Keep the noise down Mummy and Daddy as we are exhausted from our sleep party while you were out. SHUSH !”

Oh boy !

Did You Enjoy The Hill ?

      • Everyone of a certain age from my country remembers Johnny Farnham so thanks for that Ralph.
The come-alive-mannequin-style female dancers in the background are a classic!

      • Yes, Johnny Farnham was BIG in Australia 🙂 As for the girls, I remember the streets in the UK emptying of young men who went in to watch Pan’s People on Top Of The Pops 🙂 💃

  6. Looks like a fun day, Ralph! That ride down the hill looked a little sketchy to me. A beautiful city you two live in!

    • Yay, I am so pleased that you like this post dear Magick Mermaid ! The cats don’t know where Natascha and I went and probably don’t care as they usually have a sleep party when we go out. 🙂

  8. That looks great also the way up and down. You chose a great sunny day too, well worth a visit, yes you should do that more often. However on your tram it says Bangkok and Phucket. Did you get the right tram, did you get home ok? 🙂

    Liked by 4 people

    • Yes, well worth a visit dear Ute.
Heehee. Unfortunately the tram took us straight home. A tram ride to Bangkok would be a very, very, very long journey, wouldn’t it ?
      It’s Friday, yay ! Ralph xox ❤

  9. Thanks for the tour and the funicular ride Ralph, how much fun it was! Sure hope the kitties didn’t trash the place with their party! 🙂 xxx

    • I’m so happy that you enjoyed the tour dear Debby. I paid for your tickets 😉
Oh, the cats had a sleep party ! They only trash the apartment when they wake up, usually at that moment when us humans are dropping off to sleep. Oh boy !
Have a lovely weekend my friend. Ralph xox ❤

  10. I died when I came to this: “The Austrian Army has just upgraded its weapons. Don’t even try it Russia !” and then promptly expired again when I came to the wallflower caption. Too many chortles to count. Fantastic post and wonderful images and yes I would like more than one coffee to not share with you. Looked bloody wonderful, that cuppa…All the best- RIP (to me)- Autumn Jade

    • Nooo ! Don’t die AJ ! There must be a cure for chortles, perhaps massaging your funny bone will do the trick.
Thanks for your fun comment dear friend. Coffee coming up !
Hope that you and Sir are well and happy.
      Take care. Ralph xox ❤

  11. That was a lot of fun, Ralph; and Natasha did well to capture the downward descent.. Well done Natasha!
Yes, I did enjoy the trip with you both. What a gorgeous city; I’d love to visit someday. Though, I am surprised re the pussy-cats. What is in the drinking water in Graz? Why weren’t the pussy-cats ‘up in arms’ (a reference to the Austrian Army battlements) about being left alone? Although this post is humour filled I am slightly concerned about the ‘overly’ sedentary life your felines seem to be living. Or, am I wrong? 🙂

    Liked by 3 people

    • It was a lot of fun on the hill and the descent was rather scary. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the day out with us dear Carolyn 🙂
Oh no, my cats sleep a lot, but once awake, it’s manic !
Take care my friend and thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Ralph xox ❤

  12. You’re very brave! But I guess the view is worth it. I don’t think those cannons are going to prevent a Russian invasion!

    Liked by 3 people

    • lol. What a fun comment from you dear Jan ! You are probably right, but the Russians may be scared of the cannons. I hope we never have to find out.
Have a lovely day. Ralph xox ❤
