From Angels High To Rock Bottom

~Warning~

As usual, this is a very long post !

f26

I came to Spain many, many years ago for sun, sea, sex and sangria.  After 14 years I have achieved one out of four, which isn’t bad for me ….  and that is SUN !  That’s why I am an old, sad person with two cats  😀

f26

~From Angels High~

The other evening the Angels showed themselves.

f25

f26

And at about the same time I received this fun item from Katie in Florida, USA.  Her second gift to me.   Ali Gaiter, in my previous post, being the first of those gifts.

Yes, a fun cushion cover straight out of one of my favourite scenes in the Big Bang Theory.

Thank you so much my friend.

f26

In addition I would like to say that blogging to me is so much more than pasting a photo in a post every day.  It takes thought and energy, not only to create something that my readers look forward to enjoying, but the involvement and interaction of you all.  I have made many friends, most of whom I know nothing about; what you look like, how you sound etc., but the written word is such a powerful tool, from which friendships are built over time.  One or two of you I would never have met in real life if I hadn’t taken the plunge into the WordPress dashboard for the first time.  I would never have received such wonderful gifts from many of you over the years.  Thank you. I look forward to your Likes and comments as I look forward to Liking your New Posts.  For me, time is a big problem.  I would love to comment on many of your posts, but time holds me back, so I leave a footprint of a Like on your posts and I mean it.  Big hug.

f26

 ~Rock Bottom~

f2

After those highs, time to work my way down to rock bottom.

f26

I have one pot plant and I’m not green-fingered.  Can you see why ?

f6

f7

f8

Well, I thought it was a Red Hot Poker plant !

Sonic on the other hand loves flowers ….. plastic ones !

f15

f14

f12

f9

He eats them.  Oh boy !

f26

And then the other day it was so hot.  Even at midnight in my salon !

f24

f23

Yes, it was “blazing hot”.  I went to see how my cats were doing in my bedroom.

    • I don’t know about that dear Amy, I seem to find pieces of plastic flowers on the table after Sonic has been there. Personally, I prefer plastic flowers as they are so realistic nowadays and need no pampering.
Wow ! What a clever son you have !

Thank you my friend for your uplifting comment. You really do a lot more work in creating a post than most of us because in preparation you paint a whole painting, or sing a whole song to show us and they are great. Well done Leslie.

Thank you so much for your very long comment full of interesting points. Do you really think that Samantha is up to scratch as a SeCATery ? Anyway I am so pleased that you do enjoy my posts.

Amazingly it is a bit cooler today, still sunny with an added cold breeze. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend yourself my friend.

(BTW I was thinking when reading your posts how brilliant your English is, but you do make one or two spelling mistakes, for instance in your comment here "signing" should be "singing". Would you like me to comment with just spelling corrections on your future posts and once you have updated your post you can "edit/move to trash" my comment. Boy, I wish I could write Norwegian as well as you write English 😀

  13. As always Ralph you’ve made me laugh! – I’ve just returned from a fabulous week in Spain and I’m sure we were looking at the same Angel clouds as I saw one too… You’re very lucky!
We stayed in a lovely Villa (I’ll probably bore everyone silly with some photo’s on my blog soon..) which was overlooking Calpe about 1 hour from Alicante. Fabulous views, beautiful sunshine and just me and hubby so plenty of what was it you said you were missing out on – Sun, Sea, Sangria and …….. my memory has failed me again! x I enjoyed them all!… sort of goes with your picture of the ‘cheeky’ rock… or was that an image of boobs – plenty of bare ones on the Spanish beaches – bum cheeks and boobs – the choice – it’s all in the eye of the beholder!
For me – back down to earth with a bump and the dreary Manchester weather so your post was just what I needed to cheer me back up again! x

Wow ! It sounds like you had a fabulous week in Spain. I have never visited that region, but it sounds very similar to the Costa Del Sol, especially on the beaches. Why did I move into the mountains ? 😉 LOL. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing your photos, topless or not 😉
Sorry to read that it is dreary in Manchester. Another blogging friend is complaining about the lack of summer in London. I can see you coming back to Spain quite soon because of it. Warm hug. Ralph xox ❤

      • What would life be like without a sense of humour – I can’t imagine! We had a fab time – plenty of topless photo’s but of my husband – (he was banned from taking any ‘pool’ shots!)!!! We love mainland Spain and definitely will be returning – hopefully sooner rather than later.. We have spent the last couple of years holidaying in the hills above Nerja which I think is Costa del Sol (Geography not my best subject – or map reading.. much to hubby’s disgust and cause of many a heated debate!). I can completely understand why you chose the mountains – a place where you feel on top of the world! I love being up in the hills looking down on the hub of the town but being ‘away from it all’ and enjoying the beauty, tranquillity and peace. You are Sooooo lucky!! Sending a warm hug backxx

      • Good morning Wendy. I’m sorry I didn’t reply straight away, but had to get ready to go to a party last night, like one does in Spain 😀
I do know the hills above Nerja and had a look at a couple of houses in villages up there. The roads were so steep that they became a no-no. Eventually decided upon this railway station village in a valley where the streets are level and mountains all around.
I hope the weather has improved for you today my friend. ❤

      • I can see that it wouldn’t be great to live up in the hills above Frigiliana and Nerja as you’re right the road up to the villa was pretty long, very bendy and very steep in places – but definitely worth it for a holiday as we felt like we were on top of the world with spectacular 360 degree views over Torrox and Nerja. It sounds like you live in a perfect village – how lovely!
I hope you enjoyed a great ‘Spanish’ party! The weather here in the UK is due to improve for a couple of days and there is a glimmer of sunshine peeping through this morning – yee haa! – Back to rain for the weekend apparently..
Have a brilliant day – hope you’re not suffering from too bad a hangover from all the Sangria! x

      • As one gets older one has to take into consideration that one cannot do as much as when one was younger, so I had to think about the future if I was to live permanently in Spain. There are many people that have retired and bought fincas in the country miles from nowhere and as they age are finding things extremely difficult to live an easy life. I opted for an apartment all on the same level and, boy, am I glad I did.
Thank you, I had a great time at the party and am in the process of setting up a new post about it for next weekend.

You really come up with some lovely ideas. My cats would love to chase a chipmunk around the apartment, but that is as far as they would take it. They are scaredy cats and I have never known them to kill anything, but they are really curious and spend hours looking at a gecko on the wall which hardly moves.

you’re right google help so much, but not me that don’t translate well
“pretty sick” so I loose the only chance that I had to know better a boy that I really care much to me, cause Google translate like “muy enfermo” but in english slang mean “very cool”. So I react not so well cause I believe he think a bad things and I messed up. I’m sad cause I really care about this boy and now he don’t talk anymore with me.

Unfortunately I delete the pictures about the clouds cause I would like to post, but I’m feel so ridiculous to do it, that I let it go.
If in my life will be some changes, for once I would like that will be some positive changes. I hope it so!

    Duh!
It is a potted plant. If anyone knows what a pot plant looks like, I do. I would send you a pot plant so you could see what I’m talking about, but I’d hate to see you do your next post from prison.
Second, I fear I am falling behind your other devoted followers who are showering you with gifts. I’m not sure what to do about this. Perhaps next time I cut Johnny’s fur, I could send some along for Samantha!!!!
OR something from Jeep for Sonic!
I’ve been on nights for awhile, and don’t feel normal. Hmm, have I ever felt normal?
I do have some rocks at the bottom of my very small garden, but I won’t be sending those. Can’t afford the postage. See you next post! Love Resa xoxo <# #<

    • Whew ! It’s lucky I didn’t say pot plant living in Canada then. I’m English, and googled it just for you dear Resa as I am going to have to teach you proper English …… heehee

      Lesson ends ( from cellblock H ) 😉

Please don’t worry about sending me a gift or even showering me with them as your friendship beats anything that Amazingzon or your kitties may have 😀

Wow, nights eh ? That will surely give you jet lag. I am sure that once you get settled back home you will become normal again …. perhaps 😉

Rock on dear friend and have a lovely day. Ralph with love xoxo <# #< ❤

  17. Hi, I made it!!! Actually, I started my visit through the main gates of Google.com but after I had read a number of posts and “liked” them I wanted to leave a few comments but then I realized that my “likes” weren’t showing up properly! Oh, no! So off I went to sign into wordpress.com and into my reader looking for your latest post and through there to here, at last. Oh I’m pooped out! lol
Love this post especially because that scene from Big bang is one of my favourites too! lol I love that show.
Oops I just notice below it’s asking for my email etc again. I really hope that doesn’t mean this comment and these likes won’t show up either. I’ll try entering it and see.
    I’ll be back. ❤

    • Hi Amanda 😀
Normally I would have trashed this unsigned comment as I have been caught out before by being inundated by spam after approving a similar comment, but as you said that you would be back and I have received another three comments from you, you have been approved. Happy, happy !
WordPress can be such a pain sometimes and when it goes wrong it really wants you bang your head on the wall.
The BBT is such a fun programme isn’t it ? I am so pleased that you enjoyed this post my friend.
Thank you so much for persevering and commenting.
      Big hug. Ralph xox ❤

  20. What a cute kitty cushion! Yes, it’s hot…HOT! I love it, though, no complaints. Still waiting for the local pool to open…this Friday!O.K., that’s a complaint 😉 How strange that back in Somerset (where I have just been) the local pool opened in May…. Very good midnight selfie, by the way. 🙂 x

    • Thanks Wendy, the cushion cover is great isn’t it ? So kind of Katie to send me the gift.
It is another hot day isn’t it ? Mind you I would not like to be in Kuwait today as it is 50° C. Oh boy !
Roll on Friday. I’m sure you’re going to enjoy your swim in the local pool. The local Town Hall over the last couple of years have been using unemployed local construction workers on benefit to rip up half the local football pitch and build a village pool. I think it is finished, but it is so far out of the village compared to the river where the locals normally play and swim. I honestly don’t know whether it is going to be used or not.
Thank you my friend for enjoying my mid-night selfie.
I hope you enjoy your day today. Ralph xox ❤

    • You are very welcome to come over more often and please do bring with you a little bit of your rain and coolness Binky. It is afternoon here in Spain and the temperature must be close to 38° C so we are flopped out by a fan or on Daddy’s bed where it is cool. I do hope that you are getting plenty of tummy rubs our friend. Love you and granny. Samantha, Sonic and our human slave. xox ❤ ❤ ❤

  22. I can see why you don’t have time to make comments on other people’s blogs. Look at this. Whoo-ee. Plus, it takes forever for me to do one post, and my posts are about a tenth as long or involved as yours. So all is understood.

Speaking as a resident of a state where pot was recently legalized, that doesn’t actually look like a pot plant. Are you hiding the actual plant so you aren’t prosecuted?

    Cheers—

    • Hi Julia 😀
Thanks for understanding the comment dilemma I am sometimes left in. Yes, it is mainly caused by the whoo-ee fun that I have in these comments. Everything about blogging takes time, doesn’t it ?
LOL. The only pot plant that is going to live with my tender loving care is a plastic one. Now that is worth a prosecution ! 😉

  23. LOL, your pot plant photo reminds me of my daughter’s story when she first went to Australia about the girl she was staying with casually talking about carrying pot plants out to the driveway. My daughter, aghast, mentioned the cop next door to her uncomprehending friend. To make a long story short, in America pot plant and potted plant have completely different meanings. While potted plants such as in your photo are common in many households, in much of the country you could get arrested for having a pot plant.

  24. For me it was wonderful the picture of your angels and also here in Italy it have been very hot and this is not one of my favourite things but you can always take a cold shower and take your cats with you but maybe it’s a naughty Idea and they won’t like me for it but you can try it 🙂 !

    • Ha ha. My cats would tear my arms to shreds if I was to take them into the shower with me. But what they do like is being rubbed down with a damp cold sheet of kitchen roll. They love that. Happy Thursday dear Serach. Ralph xox ❤
