Wash

That’s the dishes washed !

Time for me to start drafting my next post,  but before that I must check my emails.

Do you want to hear my email notifier sound ?

If only I could find her.  She is either a Jeannie in my laptop, or magically invisible. 😀

Oh no !  Sonic and Samantha are in my office chair.

Awww !  Don’t they look sweet ?

When I get the chance I’ll update my lovely blog readers on a couple of things.

w1

I could remind them of the time that the earth moved for me in November 2015 while I was soaping myself in the shower ?

Ralph in the shower
Photo of a hot Ralph in the shower.   What made the earth move for him while he was in the shower ?

Sadly not a magically invisible Jeannie in my shower,  but an earthquake a few miles away.

w22

The tiles on one bathroom wall bowed out like a balloon.  Pedro, my neighbour, removed all the loose tiles.

w23

Nothing happened for a few months until last week.

“Bang, crash, wallop !”

A couple of very rough looking local Spanish villagers were banging on the door.

w2

Sweeping past me towards the bathroom, they muttered in unrecognisable Spanish,

“We have come to repair your bathroom tiles.”

Two hours later the deed was done.  Paid !  Gone !  Great job.

I could have told my readers about that, but I just can’t shoo the cats out of my chair.

Awww !  They look so sweet !

I could have told my readers about my latest medical fiasco.  Last year I instructed the hospital Neurologist via my local GP that I didn’t want any more tests and chemical treatments ….

Anna checking that I was still alive during the hours of having an IV drip
Anna checking that I was still alive during the hours of having an IV drip

…. because after two years of hell there was no change to my vibrating hands.  I’ll live with it.

My Neurologist sweeping out of the IV drip ward. ( I have no idea who the man in the wheelchair is. Maybe he is still there after one year)
My Neurologist sweeping out of the IV drip ward. ( I have no idea who the man in the wheelchair is. Maybe he is still there after one year )

So what does my Neurologist do ?  A letter arrived in January saying that she wants to see me at the hospital in October this year.  Last week, a telephone call from her reception, all change, she wants to see me on Monday 25th April ….. in a few days.  No way.  I’ve had enough of spinal taps, MRI scans, Xrays, women sticking needles into all parts of me.  Nothing worked and why do pretty women like to stick needles into me ?  I’m not going !

w1

I think I’ll forget about a post this week.  It’s lovely watching Samantha wash Sonic.  I’d better go and make my bed I suppose.

  1. I will look forward to you not blogging again soon, Ralph! I am also constantly getting poked, prodded and experimented upon. I’ve had small improvements, but never what they promise. Pats to the pusses. X Kate

    • Oh no ! Not you as well dear Kate. I am so pleased to read that you have had some improvements. Experimented on was how I felt, because over the months all the tests came back saying that I was okay except for a slightly raised protein level, yet they still kept filling me with this or that chemical. Maybe I’ll go and see a vet 😀

  4. I know what you mean and how you feel Ralph.
I gave up all Medico/care/tests etc and resolved in self help
-in some cases not the wisest choice but if there are no answers,
at least the anxiety and additional discomfort and stress
of all the hopeless Medical prodding …is avoided – and worked better for me.
If you know for sure there is no hope in Medical means helping you
and you can live with something you can bare and is not killing you
    – why not make your life as comfortable as you can.

I admire your Good Spirit – i try hard to keep up mine
but i don’t believe in the ‘Every day above ground is a good day’
if it is accompanied by unrelenting pain, so most days
i look much like Pedro’s T-Shirt… worn with Picture featuring on the Front!
I should buy one like that myself – or should i get one with Your photo
to Inspire me to more smiles? 😀

    • Thank you so much for your very long and informative comment Sonata. I am sorry to read that you are in pain. Many of my readers are really suffering mainly with that awful Lyme Disease. I do hope that your self-help is working. Yes, hospital visits are very stressful and I’m glad I made the decision not to go any more, mainly due to the long drive, waiting in a crowded room or hallway and 10 minutes with the doctor, who then either sends you to another packed hallway for a test or come back later or get blood taken at 0800 on Monday mornings by the local village nurse. The list goes on. I have just read a post about a woman in the USA who had to drive 5 hours there and 5 hours back for a 15 minute specialist appointment. Talk about stress 😦
Heehee. My face on a t-shirt ? That’ll scare all the bugs away !

    • I so relate to your problems of not being able to do any work because of the cats! My second year in university all I did was a lot of drama and smoke dope. So at the end of the year I had about 30 essays to write in 2 weeks. I was at Oxford so they were pretty heavy about not doing essays. So I had to do all 30 essays with my cat on my lap sleeping, moving around to make himself more comfortable, chewing on the essays, pooing on the essays…. I was so devastated when my cat died that I have never had a pet since. But now I am thinking of getting a cat. I just don’t know if I can get my blogging done with a cat on my lap all the time…I’ve just got hold of a virtual baby which has a computer inside to make it scream every 5 minutes and it then needs to be “fed” “soothed” and “changed.” When I had it on I couldn’t do any work at all as it kept interrupting with its shrieking. It drove me so mad I turned it off after 2 hours!

    • Hi Wendy 😀
It took my Spanish neighbours 3 days before they phoned the hospital to cancel my appointment. They put a lot of pressure on me to go, even asking an English friend to have a word with me as nobody in the village ever says “no” to a hospital appointment unless they were run over by a donkey. I must be the talk of the village at the moment ……. no change there then ! 😀

Warmest wishes to you, Ralph. ❤️ PS. Did you get your seat back??
