  1. The poor China Cat, scared for her life!! I love the rainbow and that there’s a horse at the end of it. That’s got to be some kind of good luck, Ralph! Hope you are well. xoxo ❀

    • Yes, poor China Cat ! I think she trembles every time I walk into the bedroom, or it could be a loose wood floor, or a mini-earthquake, or the other cats hiding behind the door. Probably just my big feet πŸ˜€
What a great idea Amy. A lucky horse at the end of the rainbow. 4x luck in fact, as it’s wearing 4 lucky horseshoes.
I’m okay my friend as I hope you are.

    • Yep ! Those cats ! They are publishing posts while I’m washing their dishes and changing their litter tray. Something is wrong somewhere πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ Ralph xox ❀

      • I agree Leslie. It’ll have to be voluntary work, as they’ll demand warmer baskets, more treats and longer sleeping hours if I paid them. Extortionate ! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    • Yes Georgia ! China Cat doesn’t move, but has her say and makes everyone listen. I don’t know how I sleep at night πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox ❀

  2. Ralph, what a crock of good fun! Those cats have taken over again! Poor China Cat…don’t stub your toe in the doorway! I’d go with using paper plates, then head for the balcony to catch the horse at the end of the rainbow. You’re missing out! Have a great weekend! πŸ’›Elizabeth

    • Definitely a crock of good fun Elizabeth. My neighbour cooks my meals and uses heavy dishes which I wash for the next use. I am breaking crockery at least one item a month when washing up. Oh well, I try, and should get a medal for keeping the pottery industry busy πŸ˜€ Ralph xox ❀

    • You are so right Adele. I have changed the ending to Samantha saying, “Yes” to China Cat, as she has a kind heart, even though no-one came outside to see the rainbow with her. Yes, the ending is better now.
Thank you my friend for your chuckles and wishing us a great weekend.
      Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  4. Your cats so love the blogging and they do a great job, they have a great life with you. The rainbow is beautiful. So glad the china cat can talk too as he cannot walk, but he can still have fun. Enjoy the weekend!

  5. Another great post and China Cat is getting a starring role! She better watch out though. Beautiful rainbow, Ralph – do you live quite high up? When I do the dishes, they seem to dash out again – ending up in my son’s room with biscuit / crisp / bread crumbs on them and don’t even mention the countless glasses that are used – one for each sip I reckon!

Yes, China Cat is at the forefront in this post, or the forefront of my bedroom door !
I think this village is at about 400m from sea level. Not so high as I’m by a river and rail line in a valley surrounded by mountains.
I love the story of your glasses and dishes. Makes me want to stay single πŸ™„

  6. So this is a crockery post! I’ve always wanted to read a crockery post! Great shot of that horse at the end of the rainbow… well done! I can see its mane flying in the wind, not.
So, it’s a good thing the Black Drake came to live with me! If it was at your place it would be relegated to holding a door open, or possibly broken crockery.
I like the swan. If I got BelΓ©n to make a ceramic one, it would be perfect for my little Black Drake, who by the way sends a big kiss to China Cat.
Love the post! Love to you, Ralph! _Resa xoxoxo ❀ #<

    • Yes, this is a crockery post dear Resa. There are not a lot of them about πŸ˜‰
I also feel that the Black Drake is in a much safer environment with you than here. I am careful with China Cat though, who sends a big kiss back to your Black Drake and she apologises for not writing.
Great idea of BelΓ©n creating a swan. Wow, that would be hard !

  8. Lol! This was so much better than War and Peace! I didn’t fall asleep or anything! It was a nail biter and I had to make a second bowl of popcorn but I left off the butter on the 2nd bowl as I couldn’t wait to get back to the story. You know how I love your kitties and the way they talk behind Daddy’s back! Thanks Ralph!! πŸ˜€

  9. Are you sure you DO sleep at night, MFR? I think you lie awake dreaming of blogs. So what’s with the horse? He must have gallopped away by the time I looked. I do think your cats are getting a bit out of control. Typical for cats. I’m going to get you a dog. That will shape them up a bit. You need a BIG dog! hmmmm. Well, while I’m in the pet store, you write a blog or two, and see if you can make those three behave themselves! πŸ™‚ xox

    • Luckily I do sleep at night MVBFM. As usual I have absolutely no idea what my next post will be about. I am sure that God reads my blog and gives me ideas as they seem to pop up from nowhere.
Yes, the horse has gone from the field, so has the rainbow which has been replaced by a dust storm from the Sahara desert. It must have rained last night as my windows and rear balcony are covered in dried mud. There is still a lot of dust in the air as I type this.
No ! No dogs ! Two cats are more than enough for me to handle. Hah! They will never behave !

The China Cat is emerging as a great blogger … maybe he should leave their jobs with the door, it’s a dangerous job πŸ™‚
I love the fun post, and the picture of the horse at the end of the rainbow is stunning, he chose the right place to be photographed.
Cheers for the two protagonists and happy week for you.

China Cat was placed in this dangerous position because the other two cats are not as conscientious, brave and willing to stay in one spot for ever. She’s my heroine.
Thank you so much for commenting my friend and adding your artistic skill as a small part of this post.

      • The Chinese cats love to meditate in a static position, they are well suited for this task πŸ™‚
I understand that Sonic and Samantha are not attracted by this kind of work, is more fun to watch the rainbow from the balcony …

    • Oh. I never use it. I’ve really no idea what it’s for. Is it for reblogging one of my own posts into a later post, or for you to reblog into one of your posts ? I’ve no idea.
I’ve looked at my Dashboard / Settings / Sharing and the Reblog is checked.

      • The button is for reblog your post in my blog and does not work, the chances are that I have my browser without updating … I do not know.
I see that in the other blogs works correctly.

  14. Dear friend Ralph,

Well nothing as exciting as having cats write a blog post, that’s for sure! All that happens when I wash dishes is that they get clean and get put away. How boring. πŸ™‚

  15. Ha ha, you’re so funny Ralph.
Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.”

  16. Hi dear one. SO sorry your hands have gotten worse. I was praying for they’d get better. 😦 I like to do my dishes like the first little wizard. You know, with magic. Unfortunately I’ve not discovered how that works just yet. πŸ˜€ Love ya! ❀

  17. It was a very funny post and it was spectacular how the cook washed his dishes ! When I wash my dishes I often sing or dance, (love to entertain myself ……and my daughters laugh with me or they laugh at me ?) πŸ™‚ !

  18. Hi Ralph! I enjoyed this post and the wonderful rainbow photos. πŸ™‚ I am not sure how my cats would react to China Cat. They like to knock things over when they play and climb on top of the shelves, and they might do the same to China Cat.

It has not happened lately, but my dad has a similar problem of breaking dishes while he washes them. Most of the time he has dropped bowls, so when I saw some ceramic bowls on sale I stocked up on them! I hid some of them so that he thinks we only have a few bowls left and will be careful with them.

He also ends up breaking dishes when he tries to walk with them to his room or the living room. I sometimes carry the dishes for him if I see him because I worry that he will lose his balance and drop them.

It is difficult when you can’t get a grip on things and balance yourself well. I hope you are doing okay. Take care, Ralph. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Arlene πŸ˜€
Oh dear. Seems like your cats are quite a hand full. How many do you have ?
Sorry to read that your dad has the same problems with dishes. I don’t drop and break that many, but it’s rather unexpected when it does happen for me.
I have been knocked out with flu for a couple of weeks. Tonight is the first night I am feeling human again and well enough to answer your comment. On top of the flu I still had jobs around the house to do inc. changing the rubbish bag in the bin under the sink, when my back snapped, agony ! Luckily Toni my neighbour had a belt which she wore when she had a bad back a while ago. What a relief to wear it ! I had to move the cat food and their water from the bathroom floor to on top of a work surface in the kitchen. It’s amazing how many jobs I still have to do bending over to floor level. I hope my back heals soon. That belt is a god send πŸ˜€
I do hope you have plenty of work my friend.
Have a lovely March. Ralph xox ❀

  19. LOL nothing interesting happens at my house when dishes get washed other than the food remains get removed from them. Saying they get clean might be a bit of a stretch since the water here is the one thing in the house most likely to leave stains.
