Purr-m !

So, where I have I been for the last few weeks ?  I could say I have been floored.

In shock about what has NOT fixed my vibrating hands and poor balance.

Ha !  No way !  I am able to do less and less, but what I can do is be my cats’ hairdresser.

Never argue with a woman Sonic.

Because … well, watch this.  I’ll give you a quick brush.

Well, she’s a girl and it takes her forever to look nice.

Do you like your tail brushed ?

Ralph xox ❤

I hope you eventually find the answer to your sweeping question my friend.

  1. Of course I love having my tail brushed. To bad I don’t have one.
However, I have long hair, and I love having my hair brushed.
It makes me feel like Rapunzel.
    Much love to you, Ralph!

I am sure you do love having your hair brushed as it is so lovely and long. So long in fact that there may be a tail hidden away in there somewhere 😉
Much love back to you dear friend. Love your “etc.” 😀

  2. Your cats are just lovely (well, handsome in the case of Sonic). How often do they demand being brushed? Do they purr while you do that?

    Huggy-poos to yoos! xx ❤

    • Demand is the right word Yvonne. Whenever I go into my bedroom they jump up onto the bed demanding a brush. Once a day is enough for me dear friend. Thank yoo for the huggy-poos. Take care Yvonne while brushing Minx. Ralph xox ❤

    • Hi Gallivanta 😀 I know. I really hoped that acupuncture would work. Maybe it would have if I lived near to her and could be needled everyday, but the travelling got expensive and arduous, so I called it a day. And, yes, the cats are a good tonic for me. I hope you are well dear friend. Hugs. Ralph xox ❤

  7. I’m convinced that cats like to be brushed n inverse proportion to how much they need it. Our longish-haired cat, who tended to mat, hated it and I had to sneak up on her and do a little at a time. The short-haired ones? Mmmm. Do more!

    • Hi Ellen. So true (in a mathematical sort of way 😀 ). Sorry to read that your cat hates to be brushed. They are fussy aren’t they ? Take care. Ralph xox ❤

  8. Your cats are so lucky to have their own personal hairdresser, Ralph. Enjoyed your photos and humour so much. 🙂 I’m often tempted to get a ‘Purr-m’ but I know I would regret it the minute it was done. 😕 Sorry that your hand tremors aren’t getting better. (I read about a herbal cure called Tremadone. No idea if it works though.) *hugs*

    • Hi Sylvia 😀 This post was fun to do in all aspects. As soon as I get up in the morning my cats are on the bed calling for their fur to be brushed. Oh boy, no peace ! I’ve made a note of the herbal suggestion and when I’m next down on the coast I’ll pop in a herbal shop and see if they have it in stock. BTW, sorry I’ve not been commenting on your posts (and other bloggers’ posts) as it’s too much for me at the moment. Big hug. Ralph xox ❤

    • Heehee. That would be something, wouldn’t it ? I hope your art is coming on as I miss your posts Wendy. It’s getting a lot cooler at night. Roll on summer ! Ralph xox ❤

  10. Hi Ralph, so sorry to hear your hands are no better, I know you have probably Googled around your illness like a gazzilion times, but may there is something that is a natural product that can help – some remedy for nerves, just maybe. Remind me of your illness again, I remember it was a long name. I really wished I could make you better right now, you are such a special person and a joy to know.xx I love the pictures of Sonic and Samantha, they are great, they look like they thoroughly enjoyed their parlour workout and pooped you out – not quite, ha!

    • Hi Sandra 😀 Thank you so much for making time to comment here. Sorry I am so long in replying. Like an idiot I downloaded a Windows10 app ( Jewel Star ) and wasted hours playing it. It was so addictive that I just had to uninstall the game and get on with answering your comment.
I really don’t think they knew what’s wrong with me , so I’ll call it the Jelly Wobbles 😉
Have a lovely evening my friend. Ralph xox ❤

      • Thank you. I don’t play video games, and I understand how addictive they can get. I think the acupuncture sounded like it gave temporary relief. Keep Googling around your illness and never give up.

    • Oh dear ! Cats can be fussy. None of them have the same traits. I can’t pick up Sonic. He shredded my arm one day while I was holding him with one hand and trying to unlock the door to get in with the other. Oh boy ! Never again ! Have a great week Marc. Ralph 😀

  13. Hi Ralph. I fall over all the time and get dizzy from orthostatic intolerance and have a lot of problems with pain, especially in my hands . Can totally relate to your situation. I look forward to your funny take on the photos that you publish. I hope you are as well as you can be.Best wishes Kate PS I am also always shocked at how little the doctors can do for my condition.

    • Hi Kate 😀 I am so glad that I decided to leave comments open for this post as I was in two minds to close comments, which would be a first for me of 272 posts. I would have never known about your condition if there were no comments. I looked up “orthostatic intolerance” and how unsettling it must be to fall over and worst of all to be in pain. Big hug. I am so lucky not to be in pain, but scared that I may fall over one day. Sending you healing thoughts my friend. Chin up. Ralph xox ❤

So true. My “blam” came about a few days after my friend died of cancer 3 years ago. I’d been caring for her alone 24/7 for a year and during her last few weeks I almost became a zombie with little or no sleep and not eating properly. When she finally went, it was such a weight lifted. I felt so light. I know my condition is a reaction from those weeks and is still with me.
I’m not planning to stop blogging. Just a bad few weeks after finishing with any more treatments I suppose.
Have a lovely weekend my friend 😀 ❤

      • I know what you mean about having a few bad weeks. That is a very sad story about your friend. I can understand that the effect of that on your body would’ve been immense. It is wonderful that you are able to give that support to someone despite having health problems of your own. Hope you are well today, Ralph!

  14. LOL
My tail is not as hairy.
I would like my hair brushed though. I find it relaxing when I get my hair trimmed & the beautician combs my hair. I guess being pampered is just nice.
Take it easy & hope that you are feeling well.
    xx Saludos y Abrazos xx
