It’s A Miracle !

~ WARNING ~

This post contains GIFs (very, very, very short movie clips) which may take a few moments to load.Β  Would you like a coffee while you wait ?

b14

It’s a miracle …..

b15

( Not that miracle *sigh* )

…… yes, it’s a miracle that I am publishing a post at all this week.

A couple of weeks ago I hit a brick wall. ( It’s his fault !Β  πŸ˜‰ )

b6

I couldn’t blog, answer comments or visit your posts any sense.Β  My brain shut down.

I was going up the wall …..

b3

……Β  for whenever I got near my laptop I just couldn’t get through that barrier.

b9

It was almost like God said to me

b22

Of course my cats were of no help. They always give me the finger paw !

b17

b14

I got really upset !

b11

Was it the acupuncture ?Β  During the first two sessions of treatment Francesca added reflexology …..

b20

…. which really helped.Β  The following treatments were just the needles.Β

I had big problems travelling from my home in Spain to Gibraltar, especially the long hours and the simple things like getting coins out of my wallet to pay for the train, taxi and bus.Β  Coins went everywhere as my hands vibrated so much.

There were two long walks either end as well.Β  My balance made walking difficult while weaving around tourists in Gibraltar.

b7

It was enough to drive a man to drink !

b13

So, I’ve stopped all treatments and medications for my vibrating hands and wonky balance.Β  I just have to live with it.Β  I’ll miss Francesca as well.

b14

With this post I am trying to break through the blogging wall.Β  Maybe that wall is here to stay.Β  I’ve no idea !

b12

Hey ! Stop repairing it !

b14

I am going to exercise more.

b8

b4

I must improve my diet by not eating any more rubber and leather sole ring-doughnuts. They’re a bit chewy !

b19

Used flip-flop sole ring-doughnuts are my favouriteΒ  πŸ˜‰

b14

Yesterday I stumbled across this YouTube video and it all made sense.

Β

That’s why I make fun of adversity, …..

b2

….. try to be kind, ….

b10

…… hopefully be helpful, …..

b18

…… have a go at uplifting others …..

b1

….. and, sadly, I have to be alone *sigh*

b14

Are you an old soul ?

OR are you a Dover Sole ?

b24

I thought there was something fishy about youΒ  πŸ˜‰

  5. Heck Ralph this is one of your best posts ever. I absolutely loved all the stills and the animation and the captions. The cats are hilarious.

On a serious note. Maybe you should go back to the reflexology if it seemed to help. I am so sorry that all those train trips did not pay off. Is there no one any nearer that can do the reflex thingy?

Don’t feel that you must post every week or every month or whatever. I haven’t put out a post since July but I’ve been very busy with sick cats and spending lots of money getting them to a specialty hospital for a proper diagnosis. I have been more than depressed about the prognosis and the money.

Anyhow, change your diet and eat as healthy as possible. Lots of fruit, vegetable and no cigs or alcohol. C

Can you make the changes? I think that you can if the motivation to be better is strong.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed this post. I know you love pets and there are loads here. I loved the cat climbing the wall !
As I am living in the mountains of southern Spain wherever I go for treatment will be a long haul to get there. I have friends asking around to see if anyone does reflexology inc. Wendy (comment below) who lives a few miles away down the rail track.
Looking after animals is expensive. My friends, up the hill, look after stray cats and taken them in. I think they have a dozen now. I try to help them now and again with the odd 50 euros.
Thanks for your advice. Ralph xox ❀

  6. That Other Yvonne suggests NO alcohol! She’s evil. You’d never hear me say that, Ralphie! But, on the other hand, she’s got a point about the reflexology. (I’ve got a point too, but as long as I wear a hat, no one notices.)

So, we’ll see you when we see you, then. Hugs from me, little gentle scratches from Minx. xxxooo ❀

    • No alcohol ? I think your avatar picture proves your point my friend πŸ˜€ I don’t drink alone at home as that would be a downward path. I found reflexology helped…..or maybe it was just the female touch πŸ˜‰

  8. I was thinking about you Ralph, as we haven’t heard form you for a while and hoped you are ok. Did the Acupuncture treatment finish or did you stop it? Well I think exercise is a good thing which will certainly help so will healthy diet and no smoking. So go for it! Why don’t you indulge in Massages or meditations. Wishing you a great week Ralph, hugs!

    • Thanks for thinking about me Ute. Yes, I did stop going to Gibraltar for two main reasons. Firstly, expense. When I was going once a week it was costing me €500pm, added to what I was paying Toni for her work it was too much per month. Secondly, the hours of travelling was detrimental to her treatment. Even going once a fortnight didn’t help, so I called it a a day. Like you, she was easy to talk to which I miss. There is nothing around here, ie. massage etc. so I’ll live with my condition. As Beth said (above) I’ve got you guys/gals πŸ˜€
I’m finding it difficult to even look at my laptop, so I am answering these lovely comments when I feel up to it.

But you’re a fighter, and I know you’ll do all you can to get back to being your old self. I think your blog means a lot to you, and you wouldn’t be happy giving it up, right now. You could always lengthen the period between your blogs for a while. You do write very full posts, which must take a long time to construct. Don’t try to ‘give up’ too many things you love in the nane of your health. That in itself will drive you up the wall. Thank you so much for explaining your situation. Take care of yourself. ❀
