Strike Down The Band !

The other week I was attempting to give a damn …..

s15

…… and trying to find something to do ……..

s16

……. but found it too taxing. So when in Spain, do what the Spanish do.

SIESTA !!

s19

s20

s21

s3

s22

I was fast asleep studying the inside of myΒ  eyelids ……

s4

…… dreaming of things that men dream about ……

s18

…… when …..

s2

Boom ! Boom ! Boom ! Tara ! Tara ! Boom ! Boom !

Oh no ! It’s one of those distorted brain scrambling, ear shredding, heart exploding, so called CARS !!

s14

s22

The music was awful !

Tararara ! Boom ! Boom !

……. but decided to go out on the front balcony to have a look.

Boom ! Boom ! Tarararararara ! Boom !

s13

Boom ! Tara ! Tara ! Boom !

s12

Tara ! Boom ! Boom ! Tara !

s11

Boom ! Boom ! Boom ! Rattle Tattle ! Boom ! Boom !

s10

Burp ! Boom ! Boom ! Squeak ! Rattle ! Tara !

s9

Rattle Tattle ! Chatter ! Batter ! Boom ! Boom !

s8

Boom ! Boom ! “I’ve just dumped my boyfriend” ! Tara ! Tara!

s7

Tara ! Tara ! Boom ! Tara ! ” Did you ?” ! Boom !

s6

And they disappeared into the countryside. Never to be seen again !

s22

I’m awake now ! Oh, well, I’ll have a banana……

s17

….. and check my Dashboard.

s5

How did they know that ?

And just before publishing this post …..

s23

Road sweeper ? It’s just a trashy village rumour ! πŸ˜‰

s22

Have you been rudely awakened ?

(I know a lot of you would like to be ! )

The band and dashboard images are mine. The rest belong within Google Search.

No Spanish band was harmed in the construction of this post, but my ears were !

  1. Yeah you are always so lucky my friend – hold against one like me – what a fancy alarm clock – I have to settle for a plain one which just says beep beep beep beep – which only stops if I hit precisely and then it starts again after five minutes beep beep beep – I want such an alarm clock too – wonder if they have such one for sale at Tesco..? πŸ˜€

    • Hi Drake πŸ˜€ What a wonderful idea ! A Spanish band alarm clock ! You could make a fortune with this idea and put Spain back into full employment at the same time. AND there would be no more bands passing my home as they’ll all be in Tesco in England. Enjoy your beep beep beep till then my friend πŸ˜‰ Ralph πŸ˜€

Or could it be the sound of Ralph’s soothing voice lullabying me to sleep? Sleep Carolyn sleep.! Okay Ralph, I’m under your spell. I’ll stay just the way I am. Nite, nite.. πŸ˜‰

  5. So what were they celebrating in your sleepy village… or was it just to wake you all up for once… πŸ™‚

    Like

    • Hi Ute πŸ˜€ I didn’t have a clue. The only reference I could find for that day was:-

“CampΓ³o Day is celebrated the last Sunday in September as part of the celebrations of San Mateo. The main event of the day is a parade of oxen carts festooned with scenes of traditional daily life, resulting in an authentic anthropological catalogue.”

Nope. No oxen carts ! It wasn’t that, so I think they came along just to wake me up. Ralph xox ❀

  6. When did you write about a bear stracting his back? How did I miss that?

Did you ever find out why you were the selected one for this awakening ceremony? All I get is three dogs fighting, four curlews screeching, five frogs croaking, six Lords a-leaping … (The latter is kinda fun.)

    Cheers, chappie. OXO πŸ™‚ ❀ ❀

    • Hi Yvonne πŸ˜€ I didn’t write about a bear stracting his back ! Maybe all these Top Searches are prophesies of what’s to come.
In our village the 2 road sweepers are usually women on benefit and they are paid about €700pm to sweep the streets for a month when another 2 take over.
You have just got yourself your Christmas post. The 12 days of Christmas, Dismal Swamp version ! No maids a milking around here I’m afraid. Ralph xox ❀

      • Moi….? Ralpha, nevah! Seriously this so reminded me of the time we were in Rome and all the traffic got stopped cos these folks were there from Peru and they were lugging this statue of Mary. Well. They’d carried it all over Rome and now as they neared St Peter’s Sq, they were having to set it down every two seconds. You could see that while they may have started with great gusto, now they were starting to argue about whose frigging idea this was…

  11. Not to be in a mood – but – you did ask for my rude awakening call & the first thing that popped in my head is when my brother – Roy – used to call me on the birthday way early in the morning. I would always mess with him about calling me so early. I told him that since I was born in the evening that he shouldn’t be disturbing me so early. Oh – how I miss those early morning birthday calls.

Here’s a link to a post related to that.

She said to tell you, there is no need to break glass, then sweep it up if you are bored, just stop by and play with us. She was having second thoughts, though, after she saw that ‘siesta’ photo (4th down form the top) tssk, tssk. She’s young. Forgive her please. πŸ˜‰
