The Eyes Have It !

To be serious for a second.

My heart goes out to the nurse suffering from Ebola in Madrid due to the stupidity of bringing an Ebola patient to Spain from West Africa. What upset me though is the extra distress given to her by the Spanish authorities killing her pet dog and not quarantining the animal. There is a massive outcry over these two recent events and so there should be !

Get well soon girl !

And now to the post !

The good news is my Scintillating Scotoma vanished about 3 months ago.

But the bad news is that it has been replaced by floaters (which are shadows) …….

………. and flashes (lightning streaks in the peripheral vision).

The doctors explain it this way ………

BUT I don’t believe it ! I think it’s the onset of my Super Powers !

As my eyes keep changing I wonder what will happen next !

My eyes may start glowing like Ra ………

…… in Stargate SG1 …….

……. glowing like these cats.

Maybe I’ll develop laser eyes.

“World domination is MINE after I’ve had a sleep, eaten my fish, then another sleep. It’s so tiring being a dictator.”

I could be blessed with x-ray vision …….

…….. and the ability to see into the future.

“I promise no more kicking MomΒ  ! I’ll text you at 3am instead !”

The future is so predictable.

Yes. Three…… umm ……. one bus will come at the same time !

We will all have thousands of these in the bank !

Rice paddy field mechanization.

Home flight simulator.

“Xbox one, PlayStation one, back stitch …..”

Car with popsicle maker !

I could do with a drink !

“But I want a lager shandy with a lemon slice !”

Some more good news is that I have an appointment to see my Neurologist in Ronda, Spain in a month’s time.

(None of these images are mine. They were all found on a Google Search.)

Oh well ! Back to searching on Google for my next post ! The things us male bloggers have to suffer for in drafting our posts !

Have you got your eye on me ?

      • Nah, it’s just that you’ve said it all. But, I’ll warrant the regulars will soon have recovered and you’ll have a crop of the usual witty replies. Not from me, obviously. Sigh. oxo ❀

      • I’ve just edited the post and removed 2 images, so the post is okay now. Thanks for the Editor role Yvonne πŸ˜€

  1. Oh, the nurse at nearby Cairns (100 km), has returned 2 negative test results for ebola, thank goodness. (She had been working with ebola patients, and ran a fever when she got back home to Oz.)

    • Hi YC πŸ˜€ Thank you, they are purrfect for this post πŸ˜€ Ralph

  2. Oi! Put those images back, I can’t remember any that were too tame for this post! πŸ™‚

    • Back again Yvonne ? They have been dispatched to the Recycle Bin of Doom, never to be seen again πŸ˜‰ ❀

  3. So sad about the nurse’s dog. I hope she’s going to be okay though. I think that knitting game could really catch on with us grannies. πŸ™‚

    • Hello Sylvia πŸ˜€ Yes, it is sad and it’s 50/50 whether she will recover.
Maybe the game will catch on ! It’s sequel is how to boil cabbage to a tasteless pulp πŸ˜‰

How can I not stare at such a wonderful female robot such as your little pink self. You have my circuits in such a spin. Would you like to come for a meal at the local gas station ? They have a great 20/40 oil for the main course. Love for ever. Ronny Robot xox ❀

  4. Your eyes seem to find the right pictures though…. probably they test you with the wrong boards like ABC not like the x-ray vision pictures. Would be so much more fun for male patients to see who can see the g-strings…..

    • Hi nurse Ute πŸ˜€ I do love your new modus operantum for male patients πŸ˜‰ So when is my appointment ? Ralph xox ❀

  6. First post this morning and we are under the table from laughing…well, Granny is, I’m just lasering back πŸ˜€ Hope the nurse will feel better soon, I think her dog is a good docter. Pawkisses for a Happy Day πŸ™‚

      lol Cats Rule Okay !

Heck ! You’ve found me out, especially my top secret hopelessly useless ideas which I should have kept hidden under a blanket !

  9. I love the idea that you have got super powers. Of course you have. Raunchy Ralph to the rescue!

  10. Ralph, the first photo of the Scotoma looks like what my doctor calls Visual Migraine. I get them occasionally and they last about 15 minutes. I hope all is well at your appointment next month.

    • Hi Mary πŸ˜€
Sorry to hear that you get them. When it happens it’s a weird visual experience. I am so glad that mine have now gone and I hope yours goes away too then you’ll get your Super Powers πŸ˜€
      Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  11. This was such a nice post, Ralph! I think this is so kind of you. I will keep her in my prayers, along with you, you wild man! Smiles, Robin

    • Hi Ella πŸ˜€ I totally agree with you that it would be fun to save the world and beat the bad guys. I owe you an email. I will answer yours asap. Ralph xox ❀

  13. Thank you for liking “A Shadowy World” and “Powerful Verticality.” I was sad to hear the news about the Spanish nurse getting ebola and the authorities putting her dog to sleep. Now a similar situation has happened here in the United States. At least the American nurse’s dog will not be put to sleep.

I do hope your eyes will be okay. One problem vanishes, and then another one takes it place. That sounds like the way things work out in my life.

On a lighter note, I enjoyed the kitty photos! πŸ™‚

    • Hello Arlene πŸ˜€ You are welcome. I am pleased to see your artwork and so the Likes.
I have just seen the news about a second medic in trouble in Texas. Oh dear !
That’s so true about something else takes its place. My Super Powers next ! πŸ˜‰
Have a lovely day. Ralph xox ❀

      • Thanks again for liking some of my artwork in Imagine New Designs Gallery.

I did not enjoy hearing the news about the second nurse in Texas. A lot of other people were possibly exposed to ebola during her flights to and from Texas and Ohio. The family members she visited in Ohio are now being monitored for ebola too. Now a third health care worker who handled the dead ebola patient’s lab specimens is stuck on a cruise ship with her husband and many passengers. Some news stories say she is exhibiting ebola symptoms, and other stories say she is not. What a mess!

I hope things are a lot calmer where you are. Have a great weekend! πŸ™‚

      • Yes. I agree. What a mess. I hope you have a wonderful weekend yourself πŸ˜€

  14. About the nurse-that is so sad, breaks my heart. I pray she gets well.
See through dresses-my goodness! Do women actually wear those things??? ❓
Hope you are well, my friend. Sending you lots of squishy (HUGS) and love. xoxoxxo

    • Hello Elizabeth πŸ˜€
Yes. It’s so sad and could have been unavoidable.
I suppose so. I got the see through photos on a Google Search. I believe everything on the internet πŸ˜‰
I hope your back is better and you are are now leaping about. Hugs back. Ralph xox ❀

  15. You always make me laugh! I need a dose of humor from time to time with all the dismal news we hear every day. You’ve probably already heard of the 26 yr old nurse that got infected taking care of a patient in Dallas as well. Stay safe & blessed my friend! xox

    • Hello Abby πŸ˜€ Glad you had a laugh. We all need one ! Have a lovely week my friend. Ralph xox ❀

      • Hope you got a chance to check out the video link I sent you regarding Ebola. Watch out for the vaccine coming our way from Glaxo Smith Knline, the same corporation that is fined for bribing doctors to push Paxil, Wellbutrin, and Avandia?? Hmmm. Disturbing to say the least! Remember the swine flu pandemic and vaccine? GSK was fined 100M compensation related to their swine flu vaccine. Here’s just one more link, and I’ll leave it at there:

      • I suppose everything inc. governments are run by big business who can basically do what they like. What’s a 100M to GSK ? Peanuts. I expect they will have to come good at some stage by the people that work in these drug companies leaking info or just saying “no, we’re not doing it any more !”.

Bribing doctors and hospital managers is not new, goes way back.

Thanks for the links Abby. ❀

  16. Hi x-ray MFR, What a heart rending story to begin your post! I can’t even imagine being so sad. So many terrible things happening it boggles my mind. Good thing we have you to make our eyes light up and crinkle with laughter. BTW, in HI you don’t need x-ray vision to see some of the pictures you showed. There’s no need for coverups. In fact the ones with coverups look almost more obscene than when you know they are wearing something! Yikes! You might enjoy a vacation in beautiful HI!!! πŸ™‚ RVBFM πŸ™‚ xox

    • Hello MVBFM πŸ˜€ Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I hope the nurse gets to read about the support she is getting. X-ray eyes is a great Super Power to have. I am working on it. Going to Hawaii would be a fun vacation. Have a lovely weekend. Ralph xox ❀

  17. LOL!! No doubt you have super powers … enabling you to turn everything into a joke even the things that would make “normal” people sob their eyes out… HUGS.

  18. I do enjoy your clever wit my friend. And sadly, I know what floaters are all about. I had them about 30 years ago for a few months. They were so annoying, like a film over everything I looked at with tiny speckled black dots. It can make you crazy lol! πŸ™‚

    • Hi Debby πŸ˜€ I am so glad the floaters went away from your eyes, so why are you keeping your Super Powers secret my friend ? It does make my life difficult sometimes. I am getting used to them now though. Have a great weekend. Ralph xox ❀

      • Lol, I’ve had so much crap happen to me, now who wants to hear about all my baggage? LOL, I save it for my books! Happy weekend to you too! ❀ xo

  19. Shame about the nurse. They let an ebola patient into the USA and a nurse here got it too. The patient died, and someone who handled samples from the ebola patient in a lab took a cruise and when it was found out that person was on the ship they whole ship got turned away at a port stop, though the passenger has no sign of illness.

    • Hello LB πŸ˜€ It is a shame about the nurse. I didn’t hear about the cruise ship. This may happen more often if Ebola gets a grip in the West. Hope it doesn’t. Ralph xox ❀

  20. Oh dear Ralph!
Perhaps you are turning into a cat!
Have you been coughing up any fur-balls?
    xx Saludos y Abrazos xx

    • Hello RoSy πŸ˜€ Heehee ! I don’t know about fur-balls, but I do purr when receiving your comments my friend. Hugs. Ralph xox ❀
