Ralph’s School Of Motoring. Underground Parking !

Before the Gaucin feria began, the young family and I had a meal in a local bar.

Eidan, Toni, Ralph, Pedro, Ariadne

Eidan and Ariadne volunteered to enrol on Ralph’s School of Motoring underground parking course for juniors.

I was sorry to turn this girl away as she couldn’t walk yet.

I had to check that the two children were fit enough for the stringent course before them.

Eidan practiced levitation………..

….. while Ariadne worked on just breathing.

They were ready for the class to begin. Cars were supplied and the children were eager to get going.

On entering the underground car park, drive around looking for a vacant parking space.

Crash into a wall …….

…….. or two !

Side-swipe a few cars !

Reverse into other cars with vigour !

Then park your car as close as you can to the next car so that the driver cannot get out !

Β Congratulations Eidan and Ariadne. You have passed the course !

Have a cup cake !

You are now only a few courses and years away from driving like this on the Costa del Sol, Spain, for real !

I do run advanced courses for older children ……..

…….. and adults.

(Some of these pictures were found on a Google Search and are not mine thank heavens !)

So are you going to sign up for one of my courses ?

  1. Of course I shall sign up for one of your courses, it looks good fun!! BTW, are you always up this late?! Maybe we should start the Iberian Insomnia Ex-pat Club? possibly not quite so fun as a go on the dodgem’s! xox

    • Hi Lottie πŸ˜€ Late night courses are the best time for fun as it’s too hot during the day. So when in Spain do what the Romans do……have a kip ! Glad you have signed up for a course … I know you’re not fussy πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox ❀

  2. If you toss in a pair of shoes with heels, like the little lass is wearing in the second photo, I’ll be your first ΜΆvΜΆiΜΆcΜΆtΜΆiΜΆmΜΆ customer.

I love the look on Ariadne’s face, when they do a bit of smashing. She’s going to be a knockout when she gets older, I reckon.

How are you, Ralphie Boy? Hugs from Down Under. ❀ oxo

    • Hi Yvonne πŸ˜€ I have just received your ID photo …….

…….. so you are are now one of my certified students in heels. Ariadne is a great kid, very helpful and fun and will be a lovely lady. I’m okay, and you ? Hugs back. Ralph xox ❀

      • I’m sorry I lead you astray, Ralph, but I find you are very easy to tempt off the straight and narrow! That very cute little child never fails to make me smile, and was sourced from the internet. All is good in Dismal Swamp, thanks. Cheers! oxo ❀ πŸ˜›

      • That’s okay Yvonne. Women have the habit of leading me astray. I wonder why ? πŸ˜€ ❀

  3. Yeah!! Congratulation with your 200th post!!!!

I would like to see your qualification for teaching the driving class even with kiddy cars!

  4. I enjoyed visiting your “school of motoring.” Congrats on your 200th post!! A landmark indeed.

    • Hi Diahann πŸ˜€ Thank you for your lovely comment. It is indeed quite a landmark in my blogging mayhem. I never thought I could last out this long ! Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  5. It will cost you a mere $14850.00 for me to sign up for one of your courses, (includes taxes and the promises of Twitter).
    I’m looking forward! ❀ xox

    • Hi Resa πŸ˜€ I think a little negotiation is required here ! Let me see……. I can offer you a $3 discount if, and only if, you are wearing your Pink Shovel Skirt xxx small for advanced training πŸ˜‰ lol. Big hug. Ralph xox ❀

  6. oh, i think i will do quite well, i already have this driving style, so i should be a top student

    • Hi Beth πŸ˜€ No way are you a student ! I am looking for an advanced certifiable instructor. If you can do this, you’re hired ! lol. Ralph xox ❀

    • Hi IR πŸ˜€ Thank you so much for your congratulations. Appreciated ! Ralph πŸ˜€

  7. Well I already know how to drive. But – I can pretend that I don’t. LOL
    xx Saludos y Abrazos xx

    • Hi RoSy πŸ˜€ Wow, that’s great ! Most people pretend that they CAN drive ! A big hug. Ralph xox ❀

    • Hello Gallivanta πŸ˜€ Of course you will pass ! …… oh, silly me. You mean, not do it ! Maybe if I write a post on underwater shark wrestling you’ll have a go πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox ❀

    • Hi Shey πŸ˜€ I have been through my appointment’s book and there is a vacancy from 3pm to 3:02 pm, Friday, on the back seat of Ken’s car. Are you free then ? πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox ❀

  8. Looks like a really advanced course, Ralph. I’ve only been driving for 50 years though. Do you think I’ll pass? πŸ˜€

    • Hello Sylvia πŸ˜€ I doubt it. Over 50 years you have probably learned bad habits, like indicating, giving way, keeping within the speed limit and so on. I should throw away your keys and get a Harley if I was you πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox ❀

  9. You bet! anyone who can spin a new story on bumper cars has to be a great teacher! Congrats on 200th post! excellent as always!

    • Hey Roxie ! Welcome ! πŸ˜€ Thank you so much for your great comment. Oh. It’s easy to spin on the Web ! Have a lovely day my friend. Ralph xox ❀

  10. Yes, I could probably do with some lessons….our fair has arrived in Jimena so I could try the dodgems down there πŸ™‚

    • Hi Wendy πŸ˜€ Okay ! I’ll book you for ………. hey, wait a minute ! That’s my competitor working in Jimena this week ! ;). Ralph xox ❀

  11. You did a good thing Palph, to make a driving school. Congratulations! This is really fun. I hope many people enjoy it.
Have a great day, Ralph! πŸ™‚

    • Hello Ştefania πŸ˜€ In the world the way it is we have to have fun, don’t we ? I am happy that you are happy. Ralph xox ❀

  12. Thanks for dropping by my blog, Ralph. I really enjoyed your photos and this post. We lived in Alicante for almost 8 years and I learned to drive there and after three attempts managed to pass my test. It’s a pain when you don’t speak the lingo fluently, trying to understand what your instructor is saying as you’re driving, he had no English and used to scribble little diagrams on scraps of paper for me, lol.

    • Hello Jean and welcome to my blog πŸ˜€ Wow ! You were brave ! Congratulations in eventually passing the test. I bet that was a relief ! Have a lovely day. Ralph xox ❀

  13. Where were you when I turned 16???? I realllllly needed you then! I had to wait until my best friend was old enough to drive with me because I made my mom too nervous. Of course, she made me nervous, so the cycle never ended. I still make people a bit nervous, so maybe I’d better enroll immediately. It’s never too late to learn. You are really chugging away on those posts. Good thing you are using a computer instead of a bumper car. (get it, posts???) OK MFR, keep on teaching us, and we’ll be there to sit at your feet in awe. πŸ™‚

    • Hi MVBFM πŸ˜€ Let me see. I must be about 5 years older than you which made me 21, so I was in the Yemen about that time. Driving lessons would have been the last thing on my mind.
It is a cycle ! The more nervous you are the more mistakes and stress are created. So, just enjoy your driving, laugh when you are on the outside lane of an 8 lane interstate and the exit you wanted is a 100 yards behind you.
I got it ! Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  14. Dear friend Ralph,

Your courses sound interesting and like a lot of fun! Much better than the courses I took in school – lol. πŸ™‚

    Your pal,

    • Hi Nancy πŸ˜€ It’s great to have fun. I love doing these kind of posts and I am so pleased that you enjoy them too my friend. Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  15. I believe most of the drivers here have taken your course! I must so I can fit in. 8)

    • Hi Katie πŸ˜€ I have been perusing the variety of courses I have on offer and I think that this one will be just right for you. Ralph xox ❀

      • I would love that course! You know me so well….although I may need to change the steering wheel side. ;D

      • Shucks ! You noticed ! I’m trying to get you to do things correctly ……… the English way ! πŸ˜‰

  16. Hi Debby πŸ˜€ Of course I don’t have a permit as I am not permitted to have a permitted permit. No need for helmets as it’s Thursday ! Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

  17. Put my name down for the course. Oh yeah, I want to learn all those great techniques. Most especially the reversing into the other cars with vigor and parking so the other car can’t get out. I always wondered how to do that. πŸ˜› Looks like those little ones were having wonderful fun. Love you, dear. ❀

    • Hello Elizabeth πŸ˜€ I am so pleased that you learned a lot on reading this post. I’ll put you down for the “advanced screaming while driving course”. Those kids did have fun. Hugs and love you too. Ralph xoxox ❀

  18. You 200th post, that is awesome Ralph, congratulations. It looks like they had an amazing time. I love rides and theme parks, including dodgems.

      • I went out dancing last night Ralph. I don’t think anyone is ever too old to dance or do anything they want. Hek! If you wanted a Batman poster in your room, that’s cool. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have made a comeback. They are on the big screen soon.

      • Yay ! Go girl !
Batman and TMNT ? Not me ! I’m not a fan of either or both ! πŸ˜€

      • Whatever you are a fan of Ralph, embrace your quirky. I don’t believe in acting any age. I am just myself. So half of my room looks like a kids bedroom, the other part looks like a business. As I write kids books and how to books, my home reflects my personality spot on. I have a kid side to me and a business side and I love it.

      • I love your room ! It must be great to go to the different areas depending what mood you are in Sandra πŸ˜€

        Liked by 1 person

      • Pretty much it is a kids bedroom that I live in and I love it. I have a lot of cuddly toys including a ton of eeyores. I like bright colours, sparkly things and never want to change. It’s so much fun and perfect for thinking like a kid to write my kids books. My desk/office is tucked away in a wardrobe and I open it every day to transform into my office. I love it. I don’t like to much space, I like a cosy room.

      • Sounds wonderful Sandra. At least you have the room the way you want it πŸ˜€

      • Exactly. I don’t think I could ever live with a guy again because I love my quirky life so much, and that includes my home environment. My life is like one big party and I love it.

    • Hello Autumn Jade πŸ˜€ Now that’s a happiest of comments. Love it ! Thank you so much my friend. Hugs. Ralph xox ❀

    • Hi Stephanae πŸ˜€ Thank you so much. I never realised that I had published so many posts and amazingly, people actually read them !
Sorry. No discount for a blind driver ! I would rather hire you for parking, drifting and donuts πŸ˜‰

  19. Hi Ralph, it’s a long time that we didn’t hear ( I was on vacation) but you were always on my mind…………hihihi, it’s true ! πŸ™‚ This was a very fun post and I already have my license but can you teach my girls of 7 and 14 ?

    • Hello Serach πŸ˜€ I hope you had a great vacation and have returned well rested. Oh, yes. I can teach them, but I think an hour driving in Rome will be all the training they need πŸ˜‰ Hugs to you my friend. Ralph xox ❀

      • Yes we had and now all school here in Italy started so everything turned normal ! I don’t live in Rome but in Emilia Romagna close to the Adriatic sea and maybe I will send them to you for some car drive lessons…..hahaha !!

    • Hi Pam πŸ˜€ I can imagine the scared look on your face. Teaching family how to drive needs a special sort of courage. I hope she passed her test. Ralph xox ❀

      • That’s the only time I cursed in front of her. Then, I hired a pro and he took her out for one lesson (one lesson). The poor guy was ashen when they returned home. He took and money and literally ran away. I don’t even want to mention how many cars she destroyed while a teenager.
