Valentine Cards update

It’s been only 12 days since I asked you to send me a Valentine’s Card and already I have received 2 mailed cards and 1 fabulously constructed ecard. Thank you so much !!

Wow !! I am so excited, but I won’t open them and send the stamps off to Pedro until nearer Valentine’s Day.Β  I am keeping a record of the cards on my sidebar.

If you haven’t sent me a sexy or wacky card yet, there still is a month to go. My address is on this post.

What have you got in mind for me ??

    • Hi Georgia πŸ˜€ I am so looking forward in publishing a special post on Valentine’s Day. Hugs. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  1. What!! you’ve got a skipping rope???

I should have had a bigger envelope, I ran out of space with your long address. I never was good at Planning Ahead.

    Baci da Venezia.xxxxxx

    • Hi Yvonne πŸ˜€
Skipping rope ?????? Oh. You mean the curtain tie-back. I have four of them in the apartment and I’m sure I could find another use for them πŸ˜‰
Your card arrived this morning sealed with surgical tape !! Thank you so much my friend.
      Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  2. Three Kings Day may be gone, but you’re still King Ralph! I haven’t sent Valentine Cards in years, so perhaps you are reawakening my romantic spirit with your request for cards?

No sooner than I figure out the remote controls at my house when my husband buys new and “improved” versions. Maddeningly! I remember the days of actually turning the knobs on a television.

    • Hi Lady Catherine πŸ˜€ Thank you for the Kingly comment. The only Royal Catherine I know was married to my chum Henry V111. Catherine of Aragon and she was Spanish !!

How wonderful to awaken you and lead you back into a romantic realm. Have fun πŸ˜€
I also remember those days, B&W television, huge cabinet, tiny screen, took hours to warm up and the white dot when switching off.
      Big hug. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  3. Dear friend Ralph,

Buttons, buttons, buttons – you have nothing on Mr. Cranky Ken! He sits down to watch tv and he has at least 3 remote control thingies lined up I front of him. I made the mistake of asking him why all the buttons and 30 minutes later, he was still answering the question! It seems to me all you need is one or two, or maybe three buttons for the tv – power, volume and channels.

    • Hi Nancy πŸ˜€ Hehe !! Big mistake to ask your techno-savvi husband such a question. Mind you, he should have answered, “……because this one is black, the middle one is silver…….”. You get the idea ? And all would be lovey dovey at home πŸ˜‰ Hugs. Ralph xox πŸ˜€
PS if you use a lot of AA batteries, this video can save you a fortune.

      • Dear friend Ralph,

Very interesting about the 6 volt battery. I have visions of prying open the cover and having the battery explode. I guess you could say that I am afraid of batteries – lol.

    • Hi RoSy πŸ˜€ I DID forget about my belly button as I was thinking about your little button nose my friend πŸ˜‰ Big hug. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  4. Ha Ha, I am cracking up seeing the number of devices with buttons in your house. You have a funny ways of looking at things. I think these days you they are unavoidable unfortunately and they are confusing. I would hope the next thing is we can just talk to these devices instead of pushing them πŸ™‚

    • Hi YC πŸ˜€ Thank you for a great comment and giving me ideas especially talking to these devices: Ralph πŸ˜€

RALPH (to bedroom ceiling fan): Good morning fan
      FAN: Good morning Ralph
R: Would you mind awfully switching your light on
      F: No !!
      R: No ?? Why not ?
F: I’m dirty Ralph. A bug got into my lampshade last night and I will be unable to give you perfect light
R: Turn your light on fan I need to get up
F: Sorry. I can’t do that. Would you like a fan instead. Say Medium setting ….. ?

  5. Oh my brother in Christ, Please know that my wife and I will have a card for you.
    Many blessings to you.
    Pastor/Equipping The Saints

    • Hi Pastor πŸ˜€ Thank you for sending me a card. Ralph πŸ˜€
Just to brighten up your day here are some funny church signs

      • Oh, my brother. You are always a breath of fresh air. May our Lord Jesus richly bless you.

  6. You need a remote for buttoning up your shirt buttons. That’s the problem. I sent you two cards because you’re special πŸ˜€

    • Hi Gallivanta πŸ˜€
I agree. Perhaps a female device would help πŸ˜‰
I had not published a post for ages, for since leaving hospital I have had a permanent headache which, thank heavens, has cleared. My eyesight also went wonky but that is better as well. I only wish that my hands improved, but not yet !! So much for 25 bottles of goblins !!
2 Valentine cards !! I am honoured. Thank you so much my friend. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Debby πŸ˜€ I can’t wait !! I am sure that your Valentine card will be really different. Have a lovely day. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  7. Judging from the amount of gorgeous women that follow you (pics on the right here) I’ve got a feeling that you are going to be bombarded with Valentines this year. You minx, you!! xox

    • Hi Lottie πŸ˜€
Ah ha !! They’re not following me…….I am stalking/following them, hehe !! And I see your pretty face amongst them πŸ˜‰
      Minx ???…. that’s a new one !!
I really do hope that I am bombarded from all over the world inc. Timbuktu πŸ˜‰ Big hug my friend. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  8. Probably you need remote control shirts. Easy to button up with a remote control. The other option would be t-shirts – no buttons…and you can’t get confused which remote you have to use…..

    • Hi Ute πŸ˜€
I agree. Something has to be done…….and it’s not buttons. Next time I go to the market I’ll have a t-shirt spending spree. A new me !!
Happy Friday …….. yippee …. it’s nearly the weekend πŸ˜€ Hugs. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  9. Love your lanterns and those pretty colours on the walls. I noticed last night in bed that the remotes are taking over. There are three for the TV and one for the fan above my head. Ridiculous. I wake up with button imprints!

    • Hi Tracy πŸ˜€ I know how you feel. I keep my controls well away from my bed or I’ll never sleep πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  10. Hi MFR, You can take the most tiniest, most mundane thing and turn it into a great post. I marvel at your talents. You are pretty buttoned down over there, or buttoned up. Never mind, I’m buttoning up my lips. Your card is sitting on my counter waiting for me to address it. Someone needs to press my on button to get me moving on it, I guess. Or maybe I need a D cell battery. Thanks for another great post. Cute pic of you, BTW! πŸ™‚

  11. “Every important machine must have a big red button” (quote of Joseph DeRisi)
    – my good old uncle had a big red nose… πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

  12. Hi Ralph, I’m looking forward to San Valentine and it would be great to make a special one in one of your posts like your first reader said in her comment (without any buttons) ! Happy Thursday πŸ™‚ ! ❀

    • Hi Serach πŸ˜€
That makes two of us looking forward to Valentine Day. Not long now πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  13. Glad to see you’re feeling better and looking forward to Valentine’s Day. Afraid I don’t celebrate it – it was my late son’s birthday.

    • Hi GP. I am so sorry to hear about your son. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Ralph

      • Thanks, Ralph. I don’t usually mention it, it just came out for some reason. Thank you for the words, it happened in ’92 while he was in the USMC.

  14. I hope you get heaps of cards πŸ™‚ What a wonderful idea.

    • Thanks Noeleen πŸ˜€ Still only 2 mailed and one ecard, but 3 weeks to go. Hugs. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Julita πŸ˜€ You are the one I have been waiting for as I know you will have the right image for me…… no ripped jeans I hope πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€
