OMG !! This morning I sneezed !

It’s so lucky that I had finished washing up, replaced the cat litter, swept the apartment and checked my emails. Then it happened. I sneezed !! Have I got flu ? Well it’s going around the local schools. Maybe a virus flew in the window and straight up my nose. Maybe I have SARs or Mad Ralph Disease. Panic !! Am I going to die ??

So I went straight back to bed. Wrapped a scarf around my ears. Put my new hat on. Thermal gloves on. Hot water bottle and tissues ready. Then I waited ….. and waited ….. and waited …. NOTHING !!

So here I am, in bed, waiting for the next sneeze or sniffle. I know it’s coming. When is another question. So I wait … and wait .. and wait ….

Is it just a Man Thing ? Or what would you do to cure me ?

  1. Better keep yourself warm and don’t let your nose do any jogging…bad for the lungs…

Take care and be well always, cheers~ πŸ˜€

    • That’s so sweet of you Wendy πŸ˜€ My nose !! Jogging ?? My legs don’t even jog !! Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • You’re welcome, my friend!

        Yes, jogging!!

Whenever I am going to get a runny nose, I would always warn my nose “Hey…don’t you dare go jogging!!!”

But still…it would sprint instead of jog..(╬ ΰ² η›Šΰ² )…LOL…

      • So THAT’S what you do all day Wendy ……talking to body parts !! πŸ˜‰
BTW Your wingdings are showing !! πŸ˜‰ hehe !!

  2. Oh my god! That is HORRIBLE! I hope you feel better. That scarf doesn’t look warm enough. Maybe you should cover yourself up in an electric blanket? Take care and do NOT go out!

  3. It’s TERRIBLE Cupid (I’ll call you that if it’s okay with you ?) !! I still haven’t sneezed again but I know it’s coming πŸ˜‰ I love my hot water bottle. It’s so warm and cuddly in bed πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  4. If it is really flu or cold, then there isn’t not an option for you but just keep yourself warm, take plenty of fluid and rest. It has to run its course. If it is deadly (hope not) then severe symptoms will develop. You should go to see doctor definitely. Hope you are feeling better or develop nothing.

    • Thank you so much YC for your words of wisdom. I should have a nurse with me but as I haven’t yours and other comments are so helpful.Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  5. I don’t think you’d score with a shortie. Sorry for talkin shit, but your grill look as a screwed whack!! I really hope you own yourself back.
A question: if you aren’t posting the next few days, should I call the cops?
    Man get better!!!

    • Thanks Dug. I put your comment into Google Translate and it blew up πŸ˜‰ but I get the gist of what you have said. Yes please, call the cops, Cagney and Lacey can frisk me πŸ˜‰ Have a great day. Ralph πŸ˜€

  6. Get well soon dear Ralph, I am same as you and I had to fly yesterday from Baku to Istanbul and I was so bad in the plane… now I am in the bed too… I hope you feel better soon…. Love, nia

      • Oh Nia, poor thing. Yes, I agree, get well soon. You can borrow my hot water bottle. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  7. πŸ™‚ Hey Mr. Ralph ,

Flu or cold .. it will be fine within 7 days , and if you are having fever and body pain then you should take some analgesic and pain killers after doctor prescription πŸ˜› though i take medicine by myself sometime .. for better and fast treatment eat boil eggs and use black pepper.

    Get well sooooon πŸ™‚ !!!

    • Hello Afsheen my new friend πŸ˜€ I’ll try the boiled eggs and black pepper. Now that WILL make me sneeze… Big Time !! πŸ˜‰ hehe. I hope you are all well and have a lovely evening. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Well i m doing good and praying for your good health πŸ™‚ … Black pepper on boiled egg will really help you , do not only try .. HAVE IT πŸ˜€ !!

      • I had a boiled egg tonight as a starter for my evening meal. So I am listening to you Afsheen πŸ˜€

  8. It’s Dr Who (Tom Baker incarnation) in disguise πŸ˜‰

    • That’s the answer Julie. Get the viruses drunk followed by a major hangover. They won’t stay for long πŸ˜‰ Have a lovely day. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  9. Hi Anon-eee-mouse πŸ˜€ I’m pleased that you love the hat but you can’t have it as it’s keeping my head warm πŸ˜€ Ralph πŸ˜€ ( if you are female, here is an xox. If you are not, then have an xox anyway πŸ˜‰ )

  10. Aww… No I panic too. At times I’m much closer to getting a cold than you maybe… we have around 0Β°C. I have a little bit of sniffles, a bit of a sore throat…. I hope it goes away again.
I mean a cold or flu is also a cleansing of the body and maybe it needs that sometimes to readjust, but I don’t like it at all :p

    • Oh Fillandra. I have the same symptoms and the temperature here during the last 2 nights have been around -3degC but during the day +17degC. I hope you get better soon. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  11. This all happened because you never replaced the light in your salt lamp. πŸ˜‰
Love the new winter look! Hope you did not hurt yourself sneezing like that. Maybe you should go for a spa day with a mud bath to draw out all if the toxins? 8)

    • Hi Katie πŸ˜€ I did !! I did replace the bulb and I have been well “assalted”. The water in my body must be like the Dead Sea by now πŸ˜‰
My new winter look will be all the rage at the next Paris Fashion Week (isn’t that right Julita ? {My fashion consultant}). And the mud bath ? Hmmm…….. no spa here in the mountains …… but there is a river a few yards away… will that do ? Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Perfect! Just go roll around in the mud bank at its side, bake in the sun for 30 minutes, then post a picture. 8)
I deny any and all secondary gains on my part.

      • Ha !! No secondary gains ?? You will have the photo all over the internet ….oh…..this is the internet πŸ˜‰ Gulp !!
Could you suggest some other way of drawing toxins ?

    • Thanks Paulette πŸ˜€ I had noodles with the boiled egg as a starter and chicken with mashed potatoes for the main course and apricots for dessert tonight. So it was almost a CNS. Sending back good thoughts for you too my friend. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  12. I hope you feel better soon, that is if you sneezed again…. one sneeze does not make a cold…… guess the hat works wonders!

    • Thanks Ute πŸ˜€ I do like your expression “one sneeze does not make a cold” it’s a bit like ” one swallow does not make a sore-throat” πŸ˜‰ The hat is the key to a cure. I’m sure it will work !! Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  13. Maybe the sneezes came from cleaning the cat litter and sweeping the apartment.

Otherwise, give it a good attitude, keep warm and snuggly, and drink plenty of fluids.

    • Maybe so Georgia. That’s one of the penalties of being a housewife I suppose. Men taking over women’s work is bound to have a back lash ….. a sneeze in this case. Keeping warm and snuggly, thanks πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  14. Oh my! Mad Ralph disease?
    What does that entail?
    Stay hydrated & rest well.
    xx Saludos y Abrazos xx

    • Yes !! Well you always knew that I had Mad Ralph disease. It’s only contagious on the 27th November…….that’s today……sorry, too late, you’ve got it !! The only cure is to wear your Wonder Woman undies, spin round three times and post the photos on your blog πŸ˜‰ Big hugs my friend. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  15. You’ve cured yourself by waiting! Seriously. Next time you get the hiccups tell someone you want to show them your hiccup. For some reason they stop! You did this with your waiting for the next sneeze and preparing to battle it straight back to oblivion where it belongs! Well done Ralph! You may now remove the scarf. β€οΈβ€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜˜

    • By waiting, yes, Sheri, but don’t forget the wearing of the hat is important. Viruses don’t like hats !!
I will name my next sneeze, in your honour, Sneeze Lightyear, “To oblivion and beyond !!”
Do I have to take my scarf off ? Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  16. You’re so brave, Ralphie. Many men would cave in at that first sneeze, but not you. You’re a shining example of manhood, manliness, maniac.

Oh, if only I were closer, I’d put on my Florence Nightingale uniform, light my little lamp and look for Tom Baker in all the dark corners.

    Besos, baci, ΠΏΠΎΡ†Π΅Π»ΡƒΠΈ. xxxx πŸ˜‰

    • Oh, wow, Yvonne. Why are you not here with your Florence’s lamp ? Makes me feel better just thinking about you tending to my bravery πŸ˜‰ Besos. Ralph xox πŸ˜€
PS I am not in Crimea……try Spain πŸ˜‰

    • You are so sweet Elizabeth. What would I do without your chicken soup, warm comforter and giant hug πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Rene πŸ˜€ It’th definitely a cold !! My nothe ith quite blocked. Happy Wednethday. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Thank you tho much Yethie. I am keeping warm and taking a retht ath you thay. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Gallivanta my friend πŸ˜€ I have had a few sthneetheth and my hat thtayth where it ith. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Well, keep close to the hotwater bottle as well and a little whisky and lemon may help!

  17. I highly doubt that you’re gonna die. Well, someday you will, but not today! I take it that you don’t suffer from allergies. I sneeze ALL the time, but it’s just from allergies. I haven’t had a cold in forever!! Think happy thoughts Ralph! Seriously, happy thoughts and a positive attitude are great for your immune system. Celeste πŸ™‚

    • Hello Thelethte πŸ˜€ I will think happy thoughtth !! But thinking for me ith tho difficult even when I haven’t got a cold. Maybe I am allergic to wearing hatth πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Debbie πŸ˜€ No ! No ! I have caught a cold, itth not a man thing. I am out of bed and when I’ve finithed blogging I will thnuggle up in my round chair and Thonic my cat will keep me warm. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Ahh, well get better my friend, at least you made a lovely blog out of it, you know what they say…when you’re given lemons!

      • True !! But I can pick my own lemons off the tree. Is that why I’m always in trouble ? πŸ˜‰

  18. My dear Ralph, I know not about all these sniffling ailments you allude to, but I do know this- what an exquisitely scintillating model you do make. I would never be able to put down the camera had I come across you in this terribly fashionable state- what a hat, and such a dashing scarf, and what a smoldering stare- yes, Ralph, a beautiful model you do make indeed. Your talents and hidden depths continue to deepen- bravo! Cheers to you matie. P.S. Sir behaves in this same fashion whenever he is “stricken” with a most “abominable sneeze-like condition”, as he calls it. He too, delves for cover and expects a most odious and tormenting death to swiftly ensue. Oh dear, pobre cito…Hugs, with tea,

    Autumn Jade

    • Hello Autumn Jade πŸ˜€ It’s been a long time since we have conversed and it’s lovely to see you around these parts again. Thank you for your appraisal of the photo. I hope Sir doesn’t fall foul of the Sneeze too often as it surely is life threatening for a man πŸ˜‰
I am sorry that I was a long time answering but i am here now. Big hug …. with coffee my friend. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • This is sirfelion, while Autumn is away. I too have not been in the blogosphere, job is quite the overtime machine as of late. But Sir is glad he Has a Job! Indeed, I sneeze and react tempestuously out of bounds, but if I am patient and not thing anymore about an impending respiratory disaster, it usually departs.

Autumn, sorry if using your login is an annoyance.

      • Hi Steve πŸ˜€ I am so pleased for you that you have a job, blogging must come way down the to-do list. Thanks for visiting. Ralph πŸ˜€

      • It seems there was a phantom commenter that invaded my account…oh my.

Yes, poor Sir has been suffused with manual-writing as of late, I fear.

Hope you are feeling much improved and are thus eager to greet a scintillating weekend, dear matie. Hugs, with a drop of chai,

        Autumn Jade

      • I’m afraid so AJ. You were hacked !! You may have noticed that I played along, lulled him into a false sense of security, tried to keep him on line long enough for you to catch him in the act, but not to be πŸ˜‰
have a lovely weekend yourself AJ. xox

    • Thank you my friend. I am a bit better tonight πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  19. I believe you need a very strong and very hot black coffee
    – if it doesn’t hurt it doesn’t harm… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    • Only when I spill it on my lap Drake …..then it hurts πŸ˜‰ Ralph πŸ˜€

  20. Ooh poor Ralph :), If I was you I took a very hot bath with some mint elixir at least for one hour and than take an aspirin and went just to bed, you will see that it works !

    • Hi Shiro my friend πŸ˜€ Okay. I will try that next time I have the Sneeze. I am feeling so much better this morning, the cure caused by reading your comment perhaps ? πŸ˜‰ Mint elixir ?? What the heck is that ?? Do I have to visit the wicked witch of the east to get some ? Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Yes come to me Ralph…………hahaha ! You are so funny, eat a lot of oranges and go early to bed ok, goodnight ! )

      • Uh !! Who’s there ?? Oh Shiro !! No chance of a lie in this morning then ? πŸ˜‰ *turning over* ZzzzZzzz

  21. That’s very stylish flu gear, Ralph. πŸ™‚ I think you need a pretty young nurse to help you on the road to recovery. I sneeze a lot, but don’t think I’ve got flu.

    • Hi Sylvia πŸ˜€ You know me well and can read me like a book, so your idea of a pretty young nurse would be most welcome even when I’m well πŸ˜‰ Have you met Tarzan yet ? Have a great day hacking through the jungle. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  22. Haha! You’re hilarious! It’s been some time now, have you sneezed again? But wait! Maybe it’s an allergy! You gotta get some test done! πŸ˜‰

    Have a sneeze-less evening!

    • Hi Julita πŸ˜€ Maybe I am allergic to emails πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  23. Dear me! Stay away from me. I hate being sick. Get better soon and odds are you won’t die. I always think that too when I feel like the pits.

    • Hi Loving πŸ˜€ I’m okay now !! You can come closer now πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  24. Omg Ralph so sorry to hear you are sneezing. Please don’t sneeze right now, I might just catch your flu, hold your breath until I finish typing. Have a lovely day despite the flu…best wishes!

    • *lapsing in to a coma* Hi Liz πŸ˜€ Have you stopped typing now ??? Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Bad boy. You sneezed before I finished typing. Left me sniffling for days. How was the coma Ralph. Can you remember anything? Best wishes!

      • Yep !! I’m a bad boy. Can’t remember a thing …..was I that bad ? πŸ˜‰ xox

  25. Totally Dr Who! And I hope you haven’t had to call any doctor at all :-S

    • Hi Lyann πŸ˜€ Luckily no !! No doctor ! I hope you are all well. Big hug. Ralph xox πŸ˜€
