Ute Bears All In Spain

I am naughty to title this post without punctuation as it should read :-

Ute. Bears. All in Spain !!

It got your attention though. Hehe !!

Marsha’s teddy bear, Manny, arrived by post a few weeks ago. He is on a world tour of bloggers starting with me and has been a bit of a handful. Ute of Utesmile arrived from London by postΒ  by air at Malaga airport on Saturday with her teddy bear Danny where I met her and had a real big hug.

In typical Spanish summer heat we collected the hire car and went sightseeing on the way back to my apartment.

Two days of fun so far. We are both taking a break from sightseeing today as it’s party time tonight !!

By the way. I have been the perfect gentleman and Ute the perfect lady with no pouncing. OMG we are slipping !! My reputation is now in tatters !! My excuse is that we are too tired from all the walking in the heat of the Spanish Sun !!

So when are you coming to visit me ??

    • Hi Rene. πŸ˜€ Please don’t be jealous as I may have to come and knock on your door πŸ˜‰ Ute is still here and having a wonderful time and is flying back to the UK on Thursday so I am not blogging until she has gone home. I will answer the rest of the comments from Friday. Big hug from Ute and me. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  1. I can’t bear (sorry !!) it that you are having all this fun without me. I’ll be there soon! Lovely to see your happy faces and all the sunshine. Looking forward to hearing about the housewarming party.

    • I agree. It’s a great place to visit and enjoy Andrew. A lot of walking, drinking and ice cream sampling made a scorching hot day so pleasant. Ralph πŸ˜€

  2. I hope the four of you have a great time together. Interesting info about the butterflies. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Sylvia. I was so nervous about Ute coming to visit as she is my first staying visitor. We had a lovely holiday on the Costa del Sol, Ronda, visiting friends nearby, a drive through a cork forest, the housewarming party, meals provided by Toni in the evenings and best of all the mutual love of blogging together in the same room. I was on my best behaviour and will really miss her when she flies home not knowing if she will ever return. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  3. This is toooo much -:)! Tooo much fun, tooo much sun, tooo much good times for poor old me to witness all they way from the f… farmers & sons land! Feel sorry for me … for at least 2 minutes! And then continue to enjoy yourself while I hope it rains for at least one afternoon -:)!

    Have a best times!

    • Again, toooo much of a lovely comment my Hobbit friend. I had my toooo minute’s silence thinking of you as I looked at the blue cloudless sky. It may rain today as Ute departs …… tears from my eyes πŸ˜₯ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  4. Ah Ha, well behave (gentleman) works! You look so happy. I wish I can come and joy your party. Have a great time Ralph!

    • I took your advice YC and was a perfect gentleman ……… ruining my reputation of course πŸ˜‰ You can come and joy my party anytime πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  5. Ah, let the good times roll on with the bears and the humans. I’m so glad that you have the chance to entertain a good blogging friend, including the bears. I think these will be memories to cherish. Take lots of pictures to show us the sights and happenings. That way we (the peons) won’t be so envious of all the fun.

    • You are never a peon my friend. For you I have added pictures of Ute’s stay throughout these comments. have a lovely Thursday Yvonne. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  6. Ha – Love the title!
And – gotta’ love your sense of humor!
You, Ute, Manny, & Danny keep having fun!
xx Saludos y Abrazos xx to you all
    RoSy πŸ˜‰

    • Hey RoSy !! Thanks for another of your great comments. Here’s Danny and Manny chilling out on my front balcony. Big hug. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Looks like they are sure enjoying their time together. What a nice place to hang out at to catch some Spanish fresh air πŸ™‚

      • Don’t be fooled RoSy. They tell bear faced lies. Ute is going to teach them Mannymanners when they are in London soon. πŸ˜‰

  7. So Ralph, I saw that you two had a fabulous time there and thanks for the inviting, would you like to have next year 2 adults and two kids ………..??? πŸ™‚

    • Hi Shiro my friend πŸ˜€

You are so welcome to come alone as I only have room for a single lady πŸ˜‰

We had a great time. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Alone ??? hahaha πŸ™‚ Thanks friend and for sure I`m gonna have a tea with you once πŸ™‚ ! Have a very lovely day Ralph ! πŸ™‚

  8. Awww….looks like you’ve lived up to your words, my friend! Ute is a happy lady during her visit…hehhee…

    Cheer!!! πŸ˜€

    • Hi Wendy πŸ˜€ Ute really enjoyed her stay. It’s her last day and this morning, if the weather holds, we are going to pick grapes at a friend’s vineyard before she flies home. Yep !! She’s a happy bunny πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Great to know that, my friend! Cheers!! πŸ˜€

  9. You are a naughty man Ralph, but I guess you already knew that! Have a fabulous time with Ute. πŸ™‚

    • I would never say “put a cork in it” to you LuAnn. But that’s where we went yesterday …… a cork forest where we saw the freshly removed bark from the trees near where I live. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

Ute in the car in the cork forest

Ute inspecting a load of cork bark

      • I have only seen a cork tree once, in a botanical garden near San Diego, CA…rather fascinating. And you can tell me to “put a cork in it” if you so choose Ralph, but good luck making it happen! πŸ˜€

      • Was the cork tree in the neck of a wine bottle LuAnn ?

I would never even attempt such a thing as to β€œput a cork in it” you know that. Signed Lucky Ralph xox πŸ˜€

      • Well, I actually did see a true cork tree once, but I have seen many a tree growing out of the top of a wine bottle in my time. πŸ™‚

      • It is quite something to see dozens of trees stripped of their bark. The colour is amazing πŸ˜€

  10. I come over to Spain, Ralph, can I bring the intruders…and leave them with you, when I’m going back home…. πŸ˜€ Glad you and Ute, and Danny and Manny had such a great time! Pawkisses, Little Binky πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for your lovely pawkisses Little Binky. Ute flies back today, she can take the intruders with her. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

    • Hi Julita. It’s marvellous to see you here. Please join us in Benalmadena. Here’s a pin up for you to put on your wall πŸ˜‰ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  11. I hope you can come and visit soon. I haven’t a clue who you are which makes the mystery so much fun. Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  12. Loved the photos Ralph of Ute’s sightseeing tour. Of special interest to me is the pic of the truck loaded with sheets of cork bark. Had no idea how cork is made or where it came from . Now I do. You’re are a walking book of knowledge.

    • As a walking book of knowledge I must now turn over a new leaf. By the way I still have my appendix πŸ˜‰ xox

  13. Your page guaranteed makes me smile πŸ™‚ Thank you.

  14. What a fun and great time y’all are having!
I was just in your backyard a few weeks ago when I was in Madrid (from New York City, US). My daughter will be living there. That will give me another reason (the first being you, of course πŸ™‚ ) to visit you often! PEACE-

    • Hello Wambui my friend. You would be very welcome to visit. It would be a lot easier for me to visit Madrid by train than a tortuous journey by car. πŸ˜€ Ralph xox πŸ˜€

  15. In middle school my kids had a project to send their teddy bear around the world. One made it pretty far and the other two kids lost theirs somehow in their travels. It was a very interesting and nervewracking experience for youngsters. Glad to see Marsha’s is making it lots of places!

    • Hi Robin. Sorry to hear about the two lost bears. Manny only had a short time in London with Ute and is now on his way to Australia. Lucky bear !!

I taught him all i knew about being cool, chatting up the ladies and enjoying a good wine ……. I pity the other bloggers who have him from now on πŸ˜‰ Have a lovely Sunday. Ralph xox πŸ˜€
