Doing my nails

Hi human bloggers. My name is Samantha and I am daddy Ralph’s lady pussycat. Ralph is having a night out on the tiles. So while he is away I am going to write a post about doing my nails. IΒ  know how to write a post as I have sat on Ralph’s lap and watched him do it. It’s easy !! He gets in a right state sometimes especially when he is setting up a Slideshow, but this should not take me long.

Ralph brought with him, to our new apartment, two lovely bar stools, perfect for a lady such as myself to do my nails. I have made a Slideshow to show you humans how easy it is to have lovely nails. So please enjoy the Show and learn how I do my nails.

I am tired now and I cannot think of anything else to say. So I will now Publish this post and do what I like to do best. Sleep !!

    • Ralph is nice πŸ˜€ I am sure that he will forgive me, but if he doesn’t I will hide under the bed. Samantha x

  1. I bet your nails are beautiful now after all this, unlike the chair. I have to be careful that Thomas my tabby cat does not see this post, otherwise he gets ideas……. πŸ™‚ I am sure Ralph loves you still as you are a beautiful and very clever cat! xx

    • Like most ladies my nails are a very important part of making myself beautiful. Please give my love to Thomas. Samantha x

      • Will do!, yes I guess ladies look more after themselves! Thomas just uses a spot on the carpet…..definitley not such nice furniture. I see you have taste! x

      • I don’t like my brother Sonic, because he always wants a fight when I am playing with my favourite piece of string AND he sleeps in my best spot 😦 Samantha x

  2. What a beauty you are Samantha and talented as well. I wish as a human it was that easy to ‘do’ my nails. Ah well at least you will have beautiful ones. I believe you must live by the old adage “Better to ask forgiveness than permission” I am sure Ralph will forgive you.:)

  3. I am sure that Ralph will forgive me and thank you for saying that I am talented and beautiful. I am not a Diva yet, but with all this praise I might become one. πŸ˜‰ Samantha x

    • I usually do my nails when I wake up or if Sonic has upset me πŸ˜‰ Samantha x

  4. It is very nice for Daddy Ralph to get you, your own, nail-doing chair! It is also very nice of you to know which chair is which, and to NEVER EVER do nails on the most excellenty executive computer command center chair. I was about to teach you how to drag one of Daddy Ralph’s socks over to the alarm potty and to drop it in, but then I thought that I would not like it if someone taught Diamond how to get my stolen socks up onto the toilet seat…

    • He DIDN’T get the bar stool for me to do my nails and I sleep in his office chair when he wants to blog. We have a big argument and I always win. πŸ˜€ Samantha x

    • Thank you. I hope you learned how to do your nails the right way now πŸ˜‰ Samantha x

  5. I’m sorry for the chair…

…but the post is brilliant! Your sense of humor is the best in the world! Thank God I found you! πŸ™‚

  6. I always wish to have this chair, but now I am so glad that I haven’t, because my Princess seems that would love to do her nails too… πŸ™‚ Thank you dear Samatha! I hope dear Ralph, didn’t get angry so much for this. Thanks and Love, nia

    • I like the name Princess and she should have a chair like mine to do her nails. No Daddy didn’t get upset. He fainted πŸ˜‰ Samantha x

  7. It looks so nice and cushy now, perfect for a nap. What a nice spa day for you.

    • Just a little bit more around the edges and it will be a perfect nest for me, if Daddy leaves me alone to finish it πŸ˜€ Samantha x

    • As I am 9 years old (63 in human terms) Daddy and I had an adult to adult discussion about the chair. I sat on his lap and purred, as ladies do. I am the only lady that has sat on his lap for 20 years so I don”t know about human ladies purring. He told me that I could keep the chair for my nails, for if he stopped me I might do my nails on the sofa. I am now a happy cat πŸ˜€ Samantha x

    • I could teach you how to do your nails. Daddy says it would cost about $5000 to come to you but I would be happy with a piece of string with a soft toy mouse tied to the end. πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  8. You are such a nice friend to cats! Our cat uses a board that is attached to the wall. It was not meant as a nail file…but it has not stopped our cat – so we decided that she was right. πŸ˜‰
    Blessings ~ Wendy

    • You are a very nice lady to let your cat use the board and, yes, cats are always right πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  9. Wonderful post! We have five cats and they all like to do their nails on my office chair.

    • Oooooh !! I dare not use Daddy’s office chair, anyway I have my nice bar stool πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  10. Beautiful little lady, and clearly has better nails than me πŸ™‚ Mine would break at the first sight of trying to do that to the chair. Hats off to the lady!

    • You are probably doing it wrong. You must close your eyes, empty your mind, purr and with a gentle rhythm dig at the chair and you will have lovely nails. πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  11. My cats go crazy for wicker chairs. They are crazy for it. Your cat look likes mine as well. What a cutie. Sorry about the stools though…

    • Hi Teeny. It sounds like you have wicker heaven for your cats. One of my bar stools is wrecked, the other I keep covered with a cushion and is now cat proof. Hugs. Ralph x

  12. You may be in big trouble when dad gets home! Tooo funny Ralph. πŸ™‚

    • Samantha has been grounded. No sleeping on my office chair anymore. It was great fun doing this post and answering the brilliant comments such as yours LuAnn. Ralph x

  13. My goodness, Samantha! That was a wonderful post, kitty, but oh my, look what you’ve done to that chair. Won’t Ralph be upset?! P.S. My kitty has a favorite chair, too.

    • My Daddy is sensible. He has now given me the chair to do my nails as well as a piece of string to play with. If he puts something small on the table I like to play with it until it is hidden way under a chair and it is good fun watching him trying to find it. You are a nice lady to let your cat have a chair. πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  14. I think you have been visiting my house too.

    • I would like to visit your house but we are house cats and we are frightened to go out in the street in case we get squished by a car. We like it indoors and on the balconies because we are safe here with Daddy. πŸ˜€ Samantha x

  15. This post was cleverly written. How long did it take for the stool to be destroyed?

    • Hi Nym. About 3 months ago it was torn to shreds in a matter of minutes. I still love her. Love Ralph x πŸ˜€

      • Of course you still love her. Just like I still love mine even when she decides to find a random walnut and bats it all over the floor in the middle of the night :p

    • Hi Russel. Welcome back. The Bluefish Way National Park Ranger has let you off paying the $5 overnight camping fees as his can where he keeps the money is now so rusty he can’t get the lid off πŸ˜‰
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Spain but I have enjoyed reading about your North American celebrations on many different blogs. Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone. Ralph πŸ˜€

  16. Samantha appears to be 100% cat, purrfectly fabulous, Ralph! πŸ˜‰

  17. It seems that everywhere I go my internet is slow. So slow I only get glimpses of Samantha, but your post is so cute, and the comments too, I just had to congratulate you once again on your fine British sense of humor. I’m surprised you are not a script writer! Our cats are outside cats, and Kalev would have it NO other way!!! Have a great week-end.

    • Hello, we meet again dear Marsha. Am I typing slow enough for you to read this ?? πŸ˜‰
I have never even considered becoming a script writer as I see so much more talent in other blogs, but thank you for your congratulations anyway. Kalev is a fine name for a tiger πŸ˜‰ I will have a fine weekend thank you as I hope you will. Hugs Ralph x

      • Haha Ralph. Your words are plenty fast enough. Your pics makes my poor internet service chase its own tail. It has no intention of moving forward!!! And that’s between midnight and 5 sm. after that… well i’ve moved to my iPhone, so who know what auto correct will do. You won’t believe what it JUST did! It auto pasted someone ELSE’S 100-150 word text about Mommy Guilt into my reply to YOU! How CRAZY is that ????? Ok enough of my woes! Everyone has talent R, yours is that you are amazingly funny funny funny!!

      • NOW your replies make sense because as you said “You won’t believe what it JUST did! It auto pasted someone ELSE’S 100-150 word text about Mommy Guilt into my reply to YOU!” πŸ˜‰ Seriously I feel that you should find a different internet provider/satellite or something faster for you. I would like to speak to a happy faster Marsha !! Ralph x πŸ˜€

  18. A cat that do upholstery. What a talent. That look; as to ask, what next?
    Beautiful photo slide show.

    • Hi Ray’s Mom. Firstly I would like to thank you for following Bluefish Way. Secondly Samantha !! Yes, a cat with her individual expression in design and production of bar stool coverings πŸ˜‰ Ralph x

  19. Oh, Samantha, you naughty girl!
Please let Ralph know how much I appreciate him stopping by my blog and reading my posts. I am having fun today getting to read some of his.
    Now behave.

    • Thank you for your visit Michelle. Samantha has been banned from using my laptop as she is better at it than me. It is easier to put a whale in a fishbowl than telling Samantha to behave. I enjoyed your posts and will return when I can. Ralph x

  20. What a beautiful and smart cat you have πŸ™‚

  21. Samantha, I do hope that Ralph wasn’t angry with you…!
If he was angry with you I hope that you ran and hid very well until he felt better.
Ralph; I hope that you are feeling better. After all, Sam’s nail did need doing, and it is perfectly alright for her to use whatever tools are necessary in order to make her look her best…
I’m throwing my hat in the room, now Ralph…..! xoxoxo

    • No. I wasn’t angry Carolyn, I fainted πŸ˜‰ Samantha’s nails are now perfect though she likes to polish them on the bed covers, my trousers, my jumper and anything else that she can get her paws on πŸ˜€ You have done it now by throwing your hat in the room as Samantha is shredding it. Hugs. Ralph x

    • Yes. Great for Samantha πŸ˜‰ Ah! you mean the post? Thank you Cmom I did have fun. Ralph x

    • Thank you so much Diane πŸ™‚ Her latest game is to “help” me make the bed by diving in or raking it up while I am trying to straighten the covers. An impossible chore πŸ˜‰

  22. Well done, Samantha, at keeping us entertained πŸ™‚ And tell Ralph I so LOVE that infinite dancing on the right hand of the screen…

    • Hi Noeleen. Samantha is asleep after a hard day of doing her nails. She really did entertain everyone except me πŸ˜‰ I also can’t get enough of the infinite dancing, it’s lovely, especially as it’s in the rain. Hugs. Ralph x

  23. Oh no, this is hilarious! I should show this to my kitty, she’ll appreciate it, hee, hee πŸ˜‰

  24. No, no, no Lada, your kitty will learn fast and use Samantha’s method of doing her nails. Your furniture will be redecorated the way your cat desires to do HER nails. πŸ˜‰ Ralph x

    • Ah ! That’s where i went seriously wrong. I really thought that she was just a normal house cat !! I had better be extra nice to her now I know. Thank you Summer πŸ˜‰ Ralph x

  25. Nice little kitty….Here kitty kitty..Papa Ralph wants to look closer at your toesies. Oooo, what sharp little toesies you have. “All the better to make you pay..sucker” !!!

    • Hi Howard. Your words came straight from Samantha’s mouth as she dug her nails into me 😦 I hope you are well and as verbose as ever. I miss the “books” you used to write in my comments πŸ˜‰ Take care Ralph

  26. It’s too much to think that you are talking about me Sherrah πŸ˜‰ Samantha is isn’t she πŸ™‚ Hugs Ralph x

  27. This is not the first time Samantha beautified her nails on your furnishings, is it? What a charming animal she must be to live with; you have to have great patience and lots of money to redo her little touches around the house.

    • NO it’s not Ronnie, in fact it’s not on the furnishings she shines her nails but my clothes. If I leave the wardrobe open neat piles of towels or jumpers are scattered to the four corners of the Universe, my trousers have score marks down the front and woollen jumpers have huge loops where the knitting is pulled. I need a serious make-over πŸ˜€ Hugs. Ralph x

  28. I’m half laughing, half feeling mortified about the chairs. I know I would glare at my cats if they would destroy stuff like that…Well, my smallest one is in a Play-Scratch-Bite-Everything mode so my hands, homework, books, food, sleep etc is at her mercy…

    • Everything that you have said I totally agree with. It’s the cats’ home and we are here as their servants ! But I don’t mind as I love them πŸ˜€ Ralph x

  29. I can’t compete with all the witty remarks about you and that dang chair. So about some catty remarks? As I see it the chair seriously needed a make-over. I don’t blame you for doing your nails on the brand new wicker bar stool. What good is a stool of if there is no bar? And speaking of bars, I think it was magnamious of your daddy to allow you the continued use of that ratty old stool. After all you staked your claim to the stool by putting your scent all over it as you did your nails. Of course your bro or is he a house-mate cat will maybe not to do his nails on the chair since you worked that wicker over like some of the cats that I live with. I had a man nail old fencing to just about every corner around this my house. But some of my cats had other ideas and found some sneaky places like the corners of the kitchen cabinets. They even have a few cat trees and rarely scratch on the rope that is meant to be a scratching post. SO for now Sammie (your new nickname) I’ll say purr, purr.

And to you Ralph, ingenius post. I’d give you the link to my site but I can not get the link button to work. One of many things wrong with my blog. I have lots of true and very real posts about two of my daughter’s cats. You would need to click on The Vets Pets. One is about aquiring her cat named KitKat and the other is From Hopeless to Hope. And there are a few or I should say quite a few pics of some of the cats that found their way to me or that I trapped as a feral.

If you click on petspeopleandlife it shoud take you to my site. But I seriously doubt you will ever find the time. Everyone should be as popular as you. I haven’t tried to build subscribers- I just let most people find me and I have found some on my own that I like very much.

    Best regards,

    • I really don’t need to reply to your comment dear Yvonne as you have said it all. I managed to find your blog okay as you now know. Ralph xox
