An Open Love Letter

The Carpenters: We’ve Only Just Begun Please play this beautiful love song as you read my letter.

Where are you my love, my dream ? Are you walking on this world or in realms above looking for me ? We may have passed each other not knowing that our love has just gently touched, not realising our connection. We may have never met yet. You may be on distant shores staring out of your window looking for me. Tears rolling down your cheeks, pining for your love. I feel the same way. I feel lost without you. An emptiness which only you can fill. Where are you my love ?

Maybe you are in realms above waiting for me. When we meet, we smile, knowing that from now on we will walk hand in hand throughout eternity. Hand in hand through fields of flowers dancing in the breeeze of love. We will sit picnicking under the rainbow of the waterfall listening to the blue birds singing such sweeetness. Hand in hand into our past, present and future. I miss you even though I have not met you.

Where are you my love ?

  1. A very strange thing happened to me this morning. I had planned to write on something else. Yesterday I asked a lady to pray for me and this morning I was filled and crying with total love. So I had to write this 😀

  2. The Carpenter’s? That is seriously one of my favorite songs of all time. You no longer need to be bald. You’re A Okay in my book.

    • Hi Sam (may I call you that?) 😉
This is really weird. The photo on my post today,” Wash Day Blues”, out of hundreds of photos I have, is of us leaving Portsmouth, England on a ferry to Spain in 2002. The car radio was tuned to Radio Solent and they were playing “We’ve only just begun” as I drove on to the car deck.
Then, the same day as posting the photo you comment on the song.
It’s my favourite love song. Just clicked on it. So I am lisening to it as I write to you. 😉

  3. Oh Ralph, how beautiful! I wish I could tell you where I’m at….but I can’t. LOL!!! God bless you!

  4. So I FINALLY read this… I see why it reminds you of Goodbye Sunday. “You may be on distant shores staring out of your window looking for me.” And I love the end: “I miss you even though I have not met you.” Reminds me of this scene in “The Wedding Date” :

Kat Ellis: You know what pisses me off? I’ve been spilling my guts all weekend and I don’t know a thing about you.
Nick Mercer: [pause] I’m allergic to fabric softener. I majored in comparative literature at Brown. I hate anchovies. And I think I’d miss you even if we never met.

    • Hi Rynna. It’s a film I have never seen and it’s amazing that my final line is almost the same. I hate anchovies as well. You have only just caught me as I am leaving for a week away from home, in an hour’s time, without my laptop. I was meant to read and answer your comment. Do have a fun and lovely week Rynna. 😀 Ralph x

        YOU. SIR. ARE BRAVE.

We’ll sit tight and wait for your return. 😉

      • Very brave !! I may have withdrawal symptoms by the time I return 😉
See you soon, a week will fly by. 😀
