Ralph handing over the cheque to the “previous” Spanish owners of the apartment who happen to be wonderful and generous friends of mine
Yesterday was a yippee landmark day when I completed the purchase of my Penthouse apartment in a small village in the mountains of southern Spain. This village is now my home and I will live the rest of my days happily amongst my friends, both Spanish and Foreign.

Congratulations! May love, peace and joy always fill your home.
Thank you so much Mother. I really do appreciate your kind words. Ralph xox
Yes! I made it to the Tree. I am looking at what I accomplished today and doing well. I am taking a 20 minute rest–using a timer so that I don’t fret. I wish I could send you some bread, and a whisk broom and a jar of salt, and a candle. I know that since you live there, it’s not the same exactly as a housewarming but
I hope that you are pleased and comfortable.
I am so pleased that you made it to the Tree and have rest times. Thank you for your thoughts in sending me those items but I think that you need to read my previous post as I am over my head in bread.
Thank you Elisa. Ralph xox
Congratulations to you! Felicidades!
Ni Misifusa. Wow, you sound as excited as me. Thank you.

What a happy day for you, Ralph!!!!
It’s hard to beat having a home of your own, so I’m not even going to compete. Enjoy your first full day in YOUR new home. You have a new picture to hang in it somewhere.
RBFM
It was a very long process but a happy day climaxing with a very well cooked English Fish & Chips in a restaurant close-by to the Notary. My first day in MY home is a relief and a pleasure to look forward to as the builders will demolish 3 walls to open up the apartment.followed by new furnishings. That is weeks away.
Ralph xox
I know just the place to hang the picture MVBFM
I AM SOOOOOO happy for you, Ralph. I’m sure you will be posting more pictures as time goes by, but remember the warnings you sent me about doing that. Be careful! I’ll look forward to seeing MFR in a picture of your wall sometime in the future!!!!

Hey Tim. Thank you
Ralph

I have laid on the latest private airplane to bring you and Mary to the party. The airline has lent me a photo to show you. it’s got all the mod cons
Love it Ralph, the wind in my hair….dang, I wish I still had some hair.
They supply a free leather helmet, goggles and a 20 foot white scarf to blow in the wind. The ultra modern plane should arrive where you live ETA June 2136 depending on the weather.
Sounds great! I can’t wait! No seriously, I don’t think I can wait that long.
I’ll cancel the booking then. I’ll have to think of something else
Congratulations Ralph! May you find happiness and peace in your new home.

Very well, all I need now is house-warming party invitation … hope it will arrive to my humble abode despite the stiff competition that has already preceded me -:)!!
Take Care,
Daniela
Hi my friend Daniela. I have had transport problems with Tim that I am working furiously on and to get you from New Zealand will be even worse. Could you put me in touch with Hobbit Airways?
Ralph xox
Greetings; it has been awhile since being here. Congratulations on your purchase and your newly permanent friends around your village.
We had a landmark day when I got the job here in FL USA. It meant I and my family would be relocating from the distasteful Midwest to paradisical Florida.
But it was not without its perilous moments. When the delayed interview flight touched down in Central Florida in fall of 2005, it was well past midnight. My pre-arranged chariot was helplessly locked behind the tightly closed rental desk.
After a ninety-minute scramble to another rental desk, I drove and collapsed at my hotel.
After just a few hours sleep, I was up and running to get to the interview. But even with a road map, I kept mixing up the roads and kept turning right and found myself further away from the interview rather than nearer. Thrice I called to get directions and they patiently guided me till I arrived-about an hour late!
Then, they led me through a labyrinth of passages in this castle-like imposing building upstairs, to a conference table. I had on a suit jacket and long-sleeved shirt and tie. The air was hot and the windows let in the hostile Florida sun.
My face turned cherry-red and was covered in sweat. “Are you OK?” the interviewers chimed. Somehow I got through that interview, showed them my writing samples and left, sure with the 3 times getting lost and the overheating episode in the interview that I was dreaming to still get the job. But I prevailed, and got the job, and together we moved to Florida to be still living here in such a beautiful place.
Thank you, Sir, for your landmark story. I am so pleased that at the end of all your mystery detours that you finally landed the position in Florida.
May I ask you Sir what the job was, as you got so lost in Florida? A tour guide, a ship’s navigator or a bus driver perhaps?
Ralph
Now being America they always place the right person in the right post ……. hmmmm!!
Will there be a get-together with your new neighbors to celebrate your new home and hope your cats have settled in nicely in their own place.
Yes Sir there will be a party in a few months time when all the construction work is finished and the apartment fitted out with new furniture. The cats are fine as they have been living with me in the same apartment for a few months now which I have just completed on. No more rent to pay. Yippee !!
That’s fantastic, the cats so happy there and no more rent to pay. I am not yet in position to say goodbye to rent. Lots of stability with your own home, relaxing and no Landlords. Our current one is a bit of a lush, authorized all this pesticide spraying, and Vinnie the roofer, tipsy with vino, roof still leaks. Sigh. Sirfelion.
Congratulations Ralph! Very happy for you.
Thanks for visiting Ralph! (did you really watch Rammstein?)
Big congrats, Ralph!!
Hey Kate !!!! Welcome !!!! Long time no see !! Thank you so much my amazing friend. Ralph xox
